shipping took too long
I' m sure these will work great in the future, however; shipping took far to long and I had to make a long trip to the nearest town with brewing supplies. I had a fresh brew going and obviously had a bad batch of old liquid yeast that never took off. I decided to order here because of the reviews on shipping, yet it just did not get it quick enough and did n' t want to take a chance of fresh brew going bad. I' 'll use these in the next beer and update review depending on how they do in it, it' s nice that there are 5 here and if they work good that should be enough for two brews depending on how they do.

Works for cider too
I made my first batch of hard cider with a quarter teaspoon bread yeast and it turned out OK.But I think I like this better. A gallon of juice, a cup of sugar, and a packet of yeast and I get a nice result with no nasty sulfites in it for a lot less than wine. Yes, I rack it weekly and let it mature for at least a month. Just put in my second purchase and will buy more as I use it up. Why mess with success?

Save my Rye Ale...
I brewed a Rye Ale extract batch on a Saturday. By Tuesday morning, there was no activity from the batch after I pitched an old (out of date) liquid yeast I had in the fridge. I didn't know what to do, I was leaving Friday for a holiday trip and didn't have time to get to my LHBS and didn't want to pay the Overnite rates that the online homebrew stores charge. I just signed up for Amazon Prime and thought I would look there. Logged onto Amazon.com, and search Ale Yeast. This coopers yeast came up Prime Eligable and for only 3.99 I did next day shipping. Got the Yeast on Thursday, pitched it Thursday even and check it before I left town on Friday morning and it was going already. Great Service, Perfect product for my situation... Thanks!!

Great Yeast, but the price, not so much
Amazon offers a single 7 gram pack at $1.79. I could be missing something, but the price of purchasing 7 single packs is still cheaper than this 5 pack offer. Perhaps this multi pack ships cheaper, not sure, but I thought it worth pointing out. Thanks.

Top tier dry yeast
Coopers dry yeast keeps well and gets alcohol content up decently high. As far as dry yeast goes you aren't going to find anything that works any better. Granted other competitive yeast brands are comparable and not necessarily worse, but there is no downside to this as a staple yeast to use on many different kinds of brews. I've used it for light lager, brown ale and a pilsner to much success.

Great tasting and convienent!
This was perfect for the recipe I made (lactation cookies). This had a pleasant flavor unlike Most other Brewers Yeast. The packets were convienent and measure to an approximate tablespoon each. I will be ordering this product again!

None better IMHO
I brew for cost savings and Coopers Brewers Yeast has no rival. It produces the best tasting beer and seems to go to a high enough alcohol content to really deliver. lol

started the brewing process fast
Worked well. The beer turned out good. Had old yeast. But in two days started working. Will buy this again on Amazon
