great purchase! definitely worth it
i didnt see a lot of great reviews on this so ill make a thorough one for anyone looking to purchase this! this was super easy to build !! it took my boyfriend and i about 2 hours to build it without any breaks and it definitely helps if you have a power drill as it is needed to construct this. the instructions are not as bad as everyone says, you just have to read and comprehend carefully lol (just like regular instructions). but we organized the panels and pieces before building for a smoother process! and yes, its a little wobbly at first but once all of the pieces fit into place, it becomes sturdy and smooth. also for height reference, i am 5'2" (157cm) and i can fully stand inside of the catio with a couple of inches to spare! * anyway! my little black cat loves going outside and this is the perfect solution to ensure he is safe and can still enjoy the fresh air! i live in los angeles so we dont have crazy weather like other states do, but for me, the catio has stood strong despite some winds and rainy days. if you do live in a state with heavier weather then i suggest having a platform underneath the catio and drill it in to make sure it wont blow away or break (since there is no flooring)!! (or attach it to your home!!) inside, i added a litter box, food, water, and warm blankets to his indoor area so he can sleep and hide from the cold weather if needed! i also added fake grass on the floor and he loves rolling around on it! overall this is a really great purchase as i was not expecting much (due to negative reviews), but that goes for almost any product you find on amazon! but in conclusion, i love this catio a lot and so does my cat! it is also easy to customize and make your own. im thinking about getting a second catio so i can connect them together and he can have more room to play :) if you're thinking about purchasing this then you totally should! its worth it!

Nice but lightweight and needs to be sealed and reinforced
Yes, I agree that this product is lightweight and it does need to be sealed with a wood protectant to last longer and with stand kitty claws and teeth, as well as reinforced with some hardware. Of course it’s not going to keep your cats dry in the rain, but the roof will help with sun and of course to keep the cats in. And yes, a floor, made on top of pallets or wood that can be rolled would also help. I’m going to try and modify it for a window versus a door entrance and will keep you posted. My problem was FEDEX delivered it 10 feet in front of my carport and over 70 feet from my front door and porch and refused to come move it to where they said they delivered it after calling them over 10 times and being told they would do it. Because of this I couldn’t get out of my carport and have a $3000 bill in repairing my truck. But I will say the product is packed brilliantly as I ran over the package with my truck and it appeared not to damage it. Seller did give me a little discount when I talked to them over four times about wanting the product returned and not being able to move it and unpack it for over a week because I was ill and it looked like the product would’ve been damaged, but after taking 30 minutes to unpack it and bring it into my home, I found out it wasn’t. I’ll keep you posted. The product looks wonderful and even much better after it’s coded with the wood sealant and all the time effort and materials put into it, I think it’s a fair price.

Fantastic! Buy this one!
This model (or models very similar to this) are for sale from others, but for a good bit more money. This one is of excellent quality, arrived very quickly, works wonderfully, is very sturdy, looks great, my outdoor cats are on my covered porch in it every night because of coyotes. We added a rubber mat underneath and heat lamps pointing inside the resting cubbies plus heated pads for cats. The cubbies keep them out of the wind. They were in a smaller cage, but now have adjusted well and love having a larger space! The parts are well made and well marked. I have a very sensitive sense of smell and I smelled a "wood" smell (like chopped wood) when we first opened the box. It wasn't bad and I didn't smell it after a couple of days. I did see another customer complaint about the smell and I'm not saying that didn't happen to him; I'm simply saying that wasn't my experience. It wasn't hard for my husband and older stepson to assemble it. The instructions could be more clear. Looking at pictures of it online was helpful during assembly. I highly recommend purchasing this product.

Looks pretty, but it's very flimsy worried it won't last a year.
It was not hard to put together it took two of us. I really like the look size is ok. It is very flimsy for 200 pulse dollars. I can't see it lasting long out side. I would suggest you not move it a lot. The small openings are not put in a good spot to hook up to a window. I wish it wasn't so flimsy and I don't think it's pressure treated. I'm a little nervous that the cats's gonna pull the wire off.

My cats are very happy to be able to go out side safely.
The instructions are not complete enough to follow with out difficulty. It took twice as long to build as it should have. That said, my cats love it.

If you have 4.5 hours available, and don't mind missing parts, this catio is right for you
🚨WARNING: This is not an entirely favorable review🚨 1. The product arrived missing one panel. I was able to contact the seller and they let me know that they'd send a replacement panel...but...it would take 15 days. At the time of this writing, it has not yet arrived. So my options are to carve up a makeshift panel from scrap wood (I happen to have some), or alter my plans to move may cats from one city, 3.5 hours to my new home. Yes, this cat enclosure was a function piece of that move. Don't buy this cat enclosure if you're needing it right away...it may come with missing parts. 2. Minus the missing panel, I put the cat enclosure together. It took 4.5 hours. I'm pretty handy, and have done plenty of work building, and assembling things...this cat enclosure simply takes a long time to assemble piece-by-piece. I even had an electric drill/driver. I'm certain it would take much longer if one used a manual screwdriver. If you don't consider yourself handy...this cat enclosure will, very likely, deeply frustrate you to assemble. I'd advise bringing a friend to help. 3. The wood quality is on the fragile side, closer to balsa wood. It was only one piece, but...one beam was cracked. Make sure that each of your screws are dead center. If you're off to the side...even by a bit, you will likely split a wood beam. The product wording states "The catio is reinforced with sturdy wooden bars on each corner"...it is not. Sturdy is not the word that a selection of 10 reasonable people would come up with when describing this cat enclosure. If you have to construct a spare panel from wood scraps to replace missing parts, do so very carefully, and avoid any extra drill holes if you can. I used zip ties for my temporary panel. 4. The wire mesh is very fragile and bends really easily. Some panels were already bent and torn when I took them out of the box. 5. Value for the money? That's hard to say. For $208.99 (that's the shipping included), I'd call that cheap. I mean, I'm not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination...I'm just saying that I know a mid to high quality cat enclosure can be closer to $500+ for the same size. So yeah, I wasn't expecting fine poplar wood, and high quality steel wire mesh...but the missing parts, and balsa wood, and bent wire mesh...I want to say that I got what I paid for, but I think its value is a little less than that. It will work, and it will do the job, but it's not something you will be able to move around much. I was considering 2 stars because the company is willing to send the panel, I do appreciate that, but if I'm honest...if I could go back in time and warn the past me about this whole experience...I would never have purchased this.

Great size, quality, features, and price.
I love this! Perfect size, my cat likes it. We connected it to our screen door with a cat tunnel. Got it because of waterproof cover. Took 4 people under 3 hours to assemble. Cost more, but no $80 shipping charge!

Pretty Nice Catio
Putting the catio together was not difficult. My boyfriend and I did it together but one person could do it if they are somewhat handy. Tools used were drill, Phillips screw driver, and pliers. Although the drill broke halfway through and we just used the Phillips after that. I definitely recommend the drill rather than just the Phillips. The directions were okay. They could have been a bit more detailed in a few areas. The quality is okay. It’s lightweight soft wood. But if I wanted a more heavy duty catio I would have built it myself. The roof pieces weren’t lining up with the dowels so we just didn’t use the dowels and the roof went on easier. I’m not sure why they even bothered with them. This one will be inside and possibly outside in better weather. I put the cover on it because it is in a grooming salon and it will be easier to clean the hair/fur off that lands on the roof. I like this particular catio because it has room for me to add a few fun things like a bridge. All this for kittens I’m trying to find homes for. And when I do I’ll be able to foster cats/ kittens for a rescue. I would recommend this catio as long as the buyer understands it is not heavy duty and kind of flimsy, but lightweight. Could easily add a floor on the bottom by adding a piece of wood and even add wheels if someone wanted to move it around.
