The skin does not feel stripped or too dry afterwards so it’s not the most powerful or abrasive cleanser. I don’t worry about makeup residue as I double cleanse, but this by itself wouldn’t be able to take off makeup well. I didn’t really enjoy how it smelled, it reminded me of some kind of hand soap and it did have that soapy-like consistency and experience.
