EXCELLENT for Legion Go storage upgrade.
AMAZING m.2, I used it to upgrade my Legion Go storage, from 512 OEM one to 2tb, with a 2230 to 2242 converter, working fine without any inconvenience. I cloned original m.2 by installing these at my desktop motherboard, all information was cloned super fast. AAA games load and run incredibly fast, I find 2tb capacity ideal for my common usage, being 1tb not enough but 4tb too much, so I'm happy with my choice. Installing it is super easy on it, though you might look for a couple youtube videos for the whole process. Another thing that amazes me is it's temperature, ever since upgrading, my LeGo feels colder, which is always a pleasant thing, it should contribute for better device health and long lasting durability. I used a 2230 copper heatsink, bought here at Amazon too + converted mentioned before.

Backup turned daily driver
It's weird sometimes when you have a device. You will shop around with upgrades and sometimes you will be looking for the best. Sometimes you find it. Other times you stumble onto it. Earlier this year I got a steamdeck and one of the first upgrades that I got for it was a huge SSD. With games getting bigger all the time it's just a common sense upgrade to make. I initially invested in the WD SN770M because it was regarded as the best. I found that while it was running well, it was running hot. It's always good to make a backup of your installs. With how SSDs have a tendency to just go out I decided that I was going to make a clone with the Crucial P310. After the clone was made I popped it in and tested it for function as I always do and I was surprised at what I found. The 310 not only runs cooler but it's a fair bit quicker as well. It did not have the crashing while in desktop issues that the 770M has and it appears to have a better response time. It uses less power as well. My test runtime on the 770M was 2 hours when I was really pushing it and my runtime on the 310 was about 2 hours and 50 minutes. That's pretty huge I think. The elephant in the room with this drive is that most don't like it as it is based around older tech that does not have the lifespan that newer NANDs do. It only has a tolerance of 400 terrabytes. Most say that's pretty bad but you have to remember that it's going into a steamdeck. I could understand the concern if it was going into a laptop that was doing video rendering. At that point I'd say yea, that's a pretty bad idea but most steamdecks aren't going to come anywhere near the limit of this drive in it's lifetime. Overall the drive performs well, it runs on the cooler side and it has a very wide compatibility and does not have any of the heat issues that the 770M has. It's very energy efficient while being extremely fast and if for some reason you do have issues it has a very long warranty. What started off as my clone drive turned into my daily driver. Outstanding.

Works great in a Surface Pro 8
Easy to install in a Surface Pro 8--if you have the correct Torx screwdriver. The free True Image software made cloning the PC a breeze--although I purchased an external NVMe enclosure to make cloning and restore MUCH quicker (that was worth the $10). The Surface now boots quicker and seems snappier when accessing the drive. Mainly, plenty more storage space (from 256GB to 1 TB) so there is a lot less need to constantly delete things to keep it running. No issues with heat--seems just as cool as the old drive without adding any heat sink. Good value.

Relatively quick R/W speeds and small form factor but it's no joke - it gets HOT!
I had originally purchased the Crucial 1 TB P310 to put into a CF Express B to NVMe adapter card case to use in my Canon R5 mirrorless camera. It worked perfectly in my CF Express B card reader but when put intot he R5 camera, for some unknown reason, the camera would lock up and not operate correctly. Oh well best laid plans of mice and men. I put it in different adapter box to allow me to use it as an external storage / interface hub for my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Works great in that method. The adapter box I have put it in is metal and acts as a heat sink which is good because this small SSD get pretty warm. In fact, it gets hot, not enough to burn you but enough so if you try to hold the box in your hand for any length of time after it been running for a bit, it's somewhat uncomfortable. This SSD is mounted using the typical heat sink strip (rubbery purple color strip) between the top of the SSD and the metal of the adapter case. The 2230 isn't a speed demon but it does have decent access speeds. I tested it with a few different speed checking utilities I have, and they all agreed that the READ speed was around 935 MB/s and the WRITE was similar at around 933 MB/s. Fast enough for my use as a backup device. Of course, there is no noise during operations since it's a solid-state device.

Pricey, but comfort in it's reliability.
Bought this for my surface pro 8 and I am so happy I did. Now i don't have space concerns and upgrading to this was quick and easy. I wanted to stay with a name brand regardless of the price I had to choke on, and I have to say for a reliable and easy fix to solve my storage issues i would definitely do it again.

Great SSD with lower power consumption!
Great SSD. I got the 2 TB variant to upgrade my 1 TB OLED Steam Deck. Installation was a breeze. It probably took me a half hour to install. The Steam Deck can't take full advantage of all that speed of the P310 as it uses a PCIe 3.0 interface. It does seem a bit faster when loading games though. The P310 uses a Phison E27T 4-channel DRAM-less controller, with the lack of DRAM aiding in reducing the power consumption of the drive, potentially helping you get better battery life. I does seem like I'm getting better battery life. The main reason for upgrade for me was doubling my space and having a drive which could later go in a device with PCIe 4.0.

2nd drive dell desktop
Arrived as ordered and is working in my new computer. To those who are using this a second drive, do your home work and confirm if a heat sink or adapter is needed.

Let's Make It Snappy
I'll admit it was a pain in the rear to get this up and running. Mainly user error but once I figured it out boy was i happy. Delivery was on time and package had no scuff or dents. The drive itself is super small but don't let that fool you. I used this to upgrade my SP7+ drive capacity from 128gb to 1tb, it was in serious need of additional capacity and speed boost. The Crucial P310 did exactly that, it expanded my pcs memory while also boosting it's load time. All in all im super happy with the drive so far. It was a great purchase and my pc seriously thanks me. Fun tip, crucial includes a special software via their website that allows you to seamlessly transfer your data from the old ssd to the new one. Make sure to use this tool if you plan to use the new drive as your main as windows does not include its own software to seamlessly do this. Another tip would be to use a ssd encasing to transfer or use the ssd as a drive. Lastly, if you're using this to replace your surface ssd then I'd recommend applying some thermal paste or heatsink to help the drive stay cool. Will circle back if any issues.

ssd in formato 2230 veramente performante

Superb little SSD
Works exactly as intended, stuck this in an enclosure and formatted, then filled it up with all manner of "Linux ISOs". Runs at advertised speeds (with Windows overheads factored in), so I'm quite happy with this SSD.
