Fixed the issue and easy to install
I live in the house that “jack” built...this fixed the leaking shower - was a replacement of like for like...albeit the previous clearly failed...this fixed the issue and was easy to install

Rolls Royce of waste pipes for diy or professional
McAlpine 90 degree compression. I fitted a Frankenstein sing which uses their own sizing waste. Compression fit where push fit don’t. Also fits to cement weld pipe and push fit

Be careful about size
Looked as though it would fit, right diameter etc but it didn't. Had to go to a plumbing shop with the old one and managed to get the right size for £2.99
