Question 1

Is this suitable for outdoor use ?

Accepted Answer

Hi,
Yes, all of our cast marble and cast alabaster statues are suitable for the outside since they are both totally waterproof and water resistant.
After a long time outside you may only see their colour to turn into a light yellow. This is the only change against the time outside as is the case with natural marble.

Question 2

Was there any extra import charges, as this is imported from Greece?

Accepted Answer

Hi
We ship from Greece. From the first days of Brexit we had provided and supplied the Rex number for our products which we know means that they are not subject to customs duties upon arrival in the UK. The rex number is for products produced in the E.U. and in transactions with the U.K. they are not subject to customs control. But perhaps you will be asked to pay the U.K. taxes there. Unfortunately, we are not sure and we would really like to know if you eventually will be asked to pay taxes and how much they will be. Brexit is recent and the customs regulation with E.U. transactions are not 100% clear yet. These charges if any are typically due once the package arrives in the destination country. We pay here all the shipping cost and other taxes to ship the item to you. If you are asked by the customs, we would recommend you to mention this and tell them to pay attention to that Rex number. Point out to them that the shipment is coming from Greece and it has a Rex number. So far none of our U.K. buyers have been complained about further charges. But again we cannot answer you for sure. Perhaps indeed you should ask them what these taxes if any will be prior buying. I hope I have been able to explain. Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us again. Looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Greek Artworks team
