Great toy!..I recommend this item!..

This is a fun transport vehicle for the tiny cars that the company makes to go with it. The cages are top hinged and open from the bottom up. The space for the cars is open - there are no dividers for individual vehicles. The wheels move. The whole truck is made of a lightweight plastic. It's recommended for age 3 and up. I don't know about that. The child needs to have dexterity of movement to manage the doors on the cages because the plastic isn't all that thick or durable and it's small, as play trucks go. This truck, I believe, wouldn't last very long with kids who are rough handlers. Some kids are naturally more careful and detail oriented and this would be fun for them. In any case I can't imagine that this would be appropriate for any child under the age of 5, especially if you also buy the miniscule cars that are made to go in this truck. Those cars are smaller than your traditional matchbox cars by a third and far less durable. For the right child though this truck could provide hours and hours of fun.

My son has a growing collection of Battat pocket sized vehicles. He absolutely adores them and plays with them a lot. The only problem I have is hunting for missing cars when he realizes they are not where he thought he left them. This can be difficult since the vehicles are tiny and fit in sneaky places, thus a full on search ensues. I thought the car carrier would be a neat idea for him to store his vehicles with less risk of getting lost (and less time for me to aimlessly hunt for something half the size of a mini carrot that could be anywhere!) He loves the concept of storing the cars neatly and actually likes to put them inside when done playing with them. Not always but a big improvement. He also really likes that you can detatch the trailer from the truck and truck bed. It is easy enough for him to line up and snap on or off. Thankfully this is pretty durable so even when misaligned it won't cause much damage. The cars shooting out the front of the truck engine was a bit anticlimactic to me. They pop out feebly more than fly out as the pictures suggest. But my son doesn't mind and likes launching them the couple of inches they go regardless. I think our pup is especially thankful that there is no risk of a mini police truck flying into his snout while casually napping. You do have to take the container off and lower a ramp piece connected to the cab in order to use this function. It would have been neat to have incorporated it so cars could launch directly from the container but I guess that would be more mechanically complex which then means a higher price tag. The color is bright, fun and it is a well made toy. My son does enjoy this car carrier a lot, especially because he just adores the Driven pocket vehicles and this is a different way to play with them. And I will add, although it should be very obvious, the pocket cars are small. I hope people pay attention to the measurements and images since I think it's crazy to rate something so low because it's tiny, even though it's very clearly listed as 'tiny!'. My son enjoys these little, detailed and very cute vehicles more than most of his other toys and has for over a year now. It's disappointing to think a company that makes quality and fun toys gets bad reviews because people do not pay attention or read the description. These are for kids which in my mind makes it even more important than ever to check if it is a good fit for a wee one and age appropriate. Thanks for reading if you made it this far :)

This is very cheap and it only fits micro cars which don’t come with it. We couldn’t even fit one single car of ours in here. No hot wheels or anything. So disappointed. Invest a few more bucks and get one that isn’t plastic useless garbage.

Has survived my son so definitely heavy duty

This is the eighth Battat toy I have purchased for my grandson. This particular one will be for Xmas with the pocket cars. He had been really happy so far with the fire truck and logging truck. I have others saved for special occasions. They must be durable because his parents say he takes them everywhere, including camp, and plays with them constantly.

So much smaller than anticipated. I should have read reviews but thought it configured with hot wheels- does not.
