For S8 2020 (Gen1), users need to update the system firmware to let the LRV (Live Rearview) feature work properly. Step 2. Follow the instructions in the user manual to complete wiring and installation. Be aware that the installation of a traditional rearview camera and ATOTO AC-HD02LR camera is different. Run the R-Camera option from the system to have a rearview even if your vehicle is moving ahead. You can also set one of your steering wheel audio key as quick entry of this feature.

- It only works on selected ATOTO car stereos (F7 Series, S8 series and A6 KarLink/Performance versions) and the video image quality is much better than traditional cameras that output CVBS signal type. Important: It is not compatible with P8 series, and other car stereo brands!
- If you own ATOTO S8 (Gen2), and it comes with virtual surround view feature, we highly recommend ATOTO AC-HD03LR camera instead.
- It does not work on the ATOTO A6Y Series Android car stereo or SA102 Starter. Besides, S8 models manufactured before Jan. 2021 (also known as S8 Gen 1) can support AC-HD02LR, but the system firmware update is required before the LRV feature can work properly.

Crisp, Reliable, and Easy to Install I paired this camera with the ATOTO S8 single DIN head unit I installed in my Vanagon, and it works beautifully. The image is crisp and clear, even in low light, and the wide viewing angle gives great coverage when backing up. Installation was straightforward, and the cable length was more than enough for my setup. If you're running an S8, this camera integrates seamlessly — a must-have add-on for vintage vehicles needing a modern safety boost.

I bought this as an addition to my A6 PF 9" unit for my wife's car. Comes with a very long cable and very easy to hook up. One cable carries all the wires necessary for this to function. The camera end of the cable has two additional wires sticking out of it to connect to ground and +12v on your reverse lights, so that the camera can signal to the head unit that the car is in reverse and switch the screen to camera input. This works great. The image quality is fantastic. I was a bit worried about quality but I heard great things about these cameras and they did not disappoint. The mounting bracket is also very handy and makes for a very quick install, just slip it behind a license place and it's a clean look without looking out of place. All that is visible is the small camera square. Would recommend!

It’s OK easy to set up little flimsy. I can see you in a couple of years rotting out because of salt. A parent Canada would love to eat outside metal with our salted roads in the winter.
