Great for cutting out stencils!
Very sharp tool. It is a great size. not to bulky and fits in your hand as a ballpoint pen would. It is very easy to use and can make straight and curved cuts very easily and smoothly. The blade replacement is a little tricky the first time you do it. Be very careful when doing it. It has a bent piece of metal that compresses, and when you tighten the handle, that way the blade stays firmly in its spot. Overall, a great tool that can be used for so many different projects and is extremely comfortable and convenient.

LOOSE BLADE PROBLEMS
I have to agree with customers that have trouble with loose blades. I recommend tacking the blade holder apart and see what design features are incorporated to firmly secure the blades to the handles. Often the obvious is not always the case.. Usually when a spring is part of the blade clamping mechanism it is used to open the clamp not grip the blade. Tacking the clamp apart and examing them and how they fit to the handle will solve many loose blade problems.

A sharp tool to add to one’s toolbox
This works well. The only problem I encountered was with blade installation. The tip of the handle has two slits that form a +. If you put the blade in one direction, it will bend. If you put it in the other direction, it will be sturdy and cut precisely and with ease.

Fiskars is my go to for product quality in my crafting space.
Fiskar is the way to go for most of my crafting cutting equipment. Solid connection holds the blade so its easy to just use and not worry about it slipping out which I've had problems with due to "lower priced solutions", easy blade replacement, never a hiccup, the grip is perfect for me and I use it to remove plastic parts from 3d model frames. Fiskar has a great warranty too, so your money is well spent here.

Having trouble with blade, read the comments, look at the pictures.!
I gave 4 stars because of the way the blade is aligned. There should be better instructions on the packaging. When I couldn't get the blade to tighten, I assumed it was just my bad luck and I put the knife in my drawer and it has sat there since 2024 when I bought it, until today that is, I needed a very sharp for a project and I thought I'd try one more time, and I did and it wouldn't work. I finally looked it up and I went to the comments....Bingo I found my reason for the blade not tightening. So I clicked on one of the pictures in the comments by Carson. He gave a reason why, actually took pics, and left instructions on how to load the blade, he briefly explained the fix! and I knew had beed my error. I quickly assembled the item and Snap just like that I was using my knife without it being wobbly and falling apart. I'm glad I seen his review and comment. My knife is great again.

Sharp, Precise, and Built for Real Work
A craft knife should do one thing well. Cut cleanly and without drama. This one delivers. The blade comes razor sharp out of the package and holds its edge through detailed work. It glides through paper, vinyl, cardboard, and fine materials without snagging or tearing. The balance feels right in the hand. Not too light. Not awkward. Controlled. The grip allows for precision cuts without finger fatigue, which matters if you are working on detailed projects for any length of time. Blade changes are straightforward and secure. It is not flashy. It is not gimmicky. It is just a dependable, sharp tool that does exactly what it promises.Five stars because precision tools should disappear in your hand and let you focus on the work. This one does.

Don’t buy if you value your fingertips
Absolute waste of money. Lifetime warranty for this item is as useless as the tool itself.See the image for my old unit vs Fiskars.Let me tell you what my old unit does:1 - Collet can be tightened with risking my fingers2 - Collet has a tight grab, blade never moves3 - Good balance, good grip, doesn’t slip. Knurling is great. It is simple but does the job well. I just wanted something bigger and newer with larger handle. What Fiskars did wrong:1 - Orange grip is bs, it doesn’t stay in place when cuttin. You should have just put knurling instead of the orange part. I will probably print a replacement cover with plastic knurling.2 - You can’t hold orange part to twist the handle so you can lock or unlock, because it doesn’t stay in place, so you have to hold by metal part near blade, risk your fingers3 - Collet seizes when you try to remove it to replace blade, you have to knock it on the desk to pop it out.4 - Collet grip mechanism is nonsensical, harder to operate and provides no additional grip ability.I provided the photo, see for yourselves. This was my first and last Fiskars purchase of any kind. I will stick to Japanese blades.

Top quality made to last
Fiskars is a brand I know and trust, everything they make it top quality and does not disappoint. This craft knife is no different. I recommend buying a pack of blade refills to keep handy.

No as expected
The product is not as expected. The blade no longer cuts after a few simple uses. I used it to cut 200g drawing paper
