Solid EDC Knife — Reliable, Smooth Opening, and Built for Everyday Use
I’ve been carrying the Kershaw Grid pocketknife daily, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite EDC tools. Here’s why it stands out: 🔹 Build Quality & Design Right out of the box, the Grid feels solid and well-balanced. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is sharp and holds an edge surprisingly well for its price point. 🔹 Smooth Opening I love the assisted one-hand opening—whether I use the flipper tab or thumb stud, it deploys smoothly and with confidence. The first pop shows quality engineering. 🔹 Everyday Functionality At 3.7", the drop point plain-edge blade hits the sweet spot—big enough to handle boxes, rope, and food prep, but still compact and easy to pocket. The grey/black combo looks clean without being flashy. 🔹 Secure Frame Lock The frame lock is solid and reassuring—I feel fully confident using it for heavier tasks. No blade wobble, and it feels robust. 🔹 Pocket Clip & Carry Comfort Deep-carry clip keeps it discreet and secure in pocket. The handle feels comfortable in hand, even during longer cutting tasks. Summary: The Kershaw Grid is a great choice for anyone looking for a dependable everyday carry knife. Quality construction, smooth deployment, and no-nonsense design—all at a fair price. Highly recommend if you're after a reliable, pocket-sized workhorse.

Great knife at a bargain price
I own a few Kershaw knives and have been pleased with the quality of their products. The Cryo 2 is one of my frequent edc carries and I think it is a high quality knfe for the price. I rate the Grid 2200 as being as good a knife as the Cryo 2 The Grid 2200 is a very good knife and here are its pluses: - very sharp out of the box - blade is centered and has no play - it is relatively thin and light for such a large folder - opening is smooth and strong - left/right clip option (I know some have complained about there not being clip hole drilled for left side carry, but maybe those were early productions) - a nice looking knife - very good knife for the price I do wish it had a lanyard hole, but I can live without it. I find metal frames are too slippery for secure pocket retrieval and handing. I remedy this by using GT-5000 friction tape on the handles. I first did this on my early edition Spyderco Police model years ago. It has worked well on all knives I have felt needed it. For the people complaining about lost/loose screws, good knife maintenance includes regular inspection of the screws and using Loctite blue on those that repeatedly come loose.

Great knife for the price!
Great knife, just wish it wasn't made in the PRC. Arrived very sharp and stayed that way for longer than expected. The spring assist works excellent, no complaints. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice knife!

oh my beautiful
ok so here this my friends, ive bought a lot of knives in my time, some really good, some really bad, but this gift from the angels armory is litterally the best knife ive ever bought... its my everyday carry, its been sharp as all get out since day one, its simple, very elegant, and easy to handle, if you are on the edge about a knife i can promise you that its the best tool for the job, its got a great spring asisted blade and after a year of using it every day, getting it wet, humidity, getting it muddy and dirty this thing is perfect, I will tell you that just like a wallet its all perfect looking at the beginning, but oh my friend, once you use it a while it gains personality, the blad stays the same color but the grip starts getting polished fro your hand, and to any left handed people out ther (I myself am one) this is the best right handed knife for you, its easy to close and fits perfect in your pocket, all you need it to sharpen it every decade or so and it will slice through paper like butter if you need to show off to your friends, this is truly the best knife ive ever bought and ive paid hundreds of dollars for knives before, trust me, get this knife and I promise you will not be disapointed. much love to Kershaw whoever designed it needs a very large raise.

Great, sturdy knife for less than $50
Assisted open and less than $50??? Has to be to good to be true, right? Spoilers, it isn't. Below are my opinions on why it's a great knife. I really like this knife, I've had a host of other brands such as Buck, SOG, CRKT, Gerber, and a few other random cheap knives but this has become one of my favorites because; A.) Simplicity of design Two metal plates, a spring mechanism, and a blade. Some other brands add complicated mechanisms as a safety (SOG) or as a lockable feature to keep the blade in place after opening (CRKT) which I find hard to use if your hands are dirty or if you aren't that dextrous. I always have to show people how to open or close them, but I digress, this one wins at simplicity. B.) Fitment/Quality of machining This blade fits up against the liner lock so snugly that there's no wiggle in any direction once it's open. I can feel build quality issues on every Gerber, SOG, & CRKT that I've owned and just thought it's a problem that less expensive folding knives have but Kershaw nailed this one on the final product. C.)Edge Holds a very nice edge and it's easy to touch up when it needs to be sharpened again, came to me already as sharp as could be. No complaints there. D.)Feel This knife is not so heavy that it's prohibitive to carry but not so light that it feels cheap. It feels like a more expensive knife to my hands and I really like that. It has a hefty feeling to it and it sounds good when it clicks open. Some other brands like SOG your CRKT don't deliver that feel because of plastic handle scales on a metal liner, whereas this has solid metal *everything* (possibly a teflon washer in the action, but everything else is for sure solid haha). Those are the reasons I love this knife, the only reason I'm short one star is because I value a product being exactly what it says it is and the only thing Kershaw missed here is that mine is missing threaded holes so the pocket clip is not reversible as it says and shows in pictures. Not a huge deal for me but there have been a few times I would have liked to switch sides and reversibility would be nice.

A really decent everyday knife
I love this knife. Had it for two years. And I’ve put it through a gauntlet. Still going strong. Not a perfect knife. But for the price it’s great. I’ve used it for whittling, I’ve used it on HVAC jobs, cutting through tape, insulation, rubber and all manner of materials. I always carry it with me no matter where I go. It’s not the best knife in the world. It’s not the most famous knife in the world. The handle’s smoothness lacks the grip one might often want. But as far as a general edc goes, I’ve really enjoyed the knife and it’s got a special place in my heart. Also… Many many many cardboard boxes have been felled.

Sturdy, and just amazing in general.
This is my new favorite knife. Ignore the people saying it opens slowly when using the spring assist. Opens nice and fast and just fine for me. This knife is nice and slender and feels great in your hand because of it. The clip is nice and small and is VERY tough, like it’s just a very strong, sturdy clip that’s going nowhere. It’s freaking sharp as Well. I underestimated the sharpness of it until I cut my finger from barely grazing the blade. The knife itself, very sturdy, little to no wiggle on the blade. Trust me, buy it. I’d be surprised if you have anything bad to say about it.

Great knife
Great knife for the price, can't beat kershaw quality, this knife is my EDC. Spring works great, holds an edge very well, locks in place perfectly. 10/10 will buy again
