So far so good
Bike rack seems well thought out and designed. It doesn't have any fancy mechanisms like you would find in a Yakima rack, but I would claim those features to be superfluous. This is bare bones and has everything you need.Assembly was surprisingly easy, and I was completely baffled to see they included chrome vandium wrenches to complete the assembly. The instructions were very clear and easy to understand, and the bags with hardware came labeled, and the labels matched up with the instructions making assembly unbelievably easy. All the hardware seems beyond plenty robust. The hitch "pin" is a bolt with a lock on it, and tightening this bolt makes the rack solid and extremely stable in the hitch. It doesn't move at all when tightened all the way, so none of that bouncy slop you get with most racks. The primary feature I got this rack for was the fact that it can fold up when on the vehicle but while not in use. This feature works great and I appears the dimensions were well thought out as it is close enough to the truck to be compact, but not close enough to interfere with anything. I have two road bikes mounted so far and the frame clamp works great on them (although I usually prefer the wheel clamp style). This is far nicer than a name brand swagman I had before. For the price, this rack cannot be beat in my opinion.

Seems to be a good rack. Here are a couple lessons learned from the assembly process.
Quick review after assembly and use:Overall, it performs as a bike rack and seems to do a better job than my last one with more features and probably better security on long trips.Instructions leave a lot to be desired unless you just like looking at pictures but I do have a couple tips to ease some headaches during assembly.-I would recommend a ratchet and or impact (even a drill/driver with a 3/8" socket adapter. It does come with 3 wrenches but...you can save yourself some time with 17mm and 19mm sockets.- When installing the plastic bushings at the pivot points for folding, a little bit of spit and/or a small dot of grease will hold them in place and make your life a bit easier trying to get them to hold in place.- Assemble the, what I call "snowshoes" (aka wheel chocks) prior to sliding them onto the crossbars. If you try to put the carriage bolts through the chocks and plastic slides/sleeves after you have them on you can face some alignment issues trying to get the bolts through.-The lock had me a bit confused as they seem to want you to mount them on the rear of the stand (longer frame hook goes on first). Once you unlock them the center-post will be sticking out. To lock them prior to travel just press on the center post to secure them in place... That said, I am not sure how sturdy they are but they do prevent the adjuster from being pushed in...if someone wants to steal something, as they say, locks just keep the honest ones honest.Finish seems pretty good but not overly durable (marks easily in my opinion. I also will be replacing the hardware with stainless steel for corrosion resistance which should be easy to find at a big box hardware store for peace of mind. I assembled mine in about 30 minutes once I got things laid out and looked at the directions prior to getting started...take away about 5 minutes if I had assemble the hardware on the chocks prior to sliding them into place (lesson learned on my behalf).

Functional and sturdy rack, however, it started rusting within a month.
This bike carrier is very sturdy and functional. Assembly was quick and simple, and I think it took just as much time to unpack and remove all of the foam and plastic wrapping materials than it did to assemble. I am a fairly mechanically inclined person, so your assembly experience may vary. Some wrenches for assembly were included, and they seem totally fine, but I used my own tools for a faster job. The polished chrome 24mm wrench for the hitch pin bolt is exceptional, certainly nice enough to keep in whichever vehicle has the rack on it in order to tighten or remove the big bolt. Also, the keyed lock for the hitch pin is a nice touch. The security measures on this bike carrier probably wouldn't do much to stop a well equipped thief, but would certainly deter an average ill intentioned person from messing with things. It's a pretty quick process to switch the rack between our two vans when needed. Our bikes are a pretty standard size and shape, so there were no compatibility issues either. One thing to be aware of, if you have a mountain bike with modern width handlebars (mine are 760mm), that particular bike may need to always be on the outside of the rack. The handlebar comes dangerously close to contacting the rear window glass and could break your window under certain conditions.I have to remove one star because unfortunately it has started to develop rust after just over a month of use, and the black coating has already begun to fade from the sun. For now, it's just cosmetic rust, but eventually this will cause the welds and metal to weaken. To attempt to slow down the corrosion, I intend to spray oil and grease inside all of the tubing and let it soak in over the winter. I would also recommend IMMEDIATELY spraying some oil inside all of the lock mechanisms because they were very stiff and grindy feeling and almost appeared to be slightly corroded right out of the box. I don't imagine these will fare well after exposure to the elements, especially if left un-lubricated.The only other complaint I have is the foam that is on the hook arms is SUPER abrasive and has already scratched the paint on the bikes where it contacts the frame. On my aluminum bike, it not only scratched but sort of "crushed" the paint and caused it to flake off from that spot. This was very disappointing to discover, and I have since started wrapping an old rag around each arm before pushing them down on the bikes. This seems to be a good workaround, but surely there is a material out there that is gentler on your paint. I'm starting to see the value in the type of carrier that has no frame contact at all and simply clamps the wheels.Of course this is probably the vehicle manufacturer's fault and not the rack's fault, but having bikes on the back of our Pacifica causes the backup camera/alarms to completely flip out. It does not stop screaming about a hazard or whatever until the van is stopped and put back into Park. I'm not sure if there is a way to disable this in our particular case or not, but just be aware that the first time backing up your vehicle with a loaded rack may cause your camera or emergency braking to activate. Such a strange behavior for a vehicle that is designed for towing and literally has a factory tow package. On the older van without all of those sensors, this is a non issue.

Super sturdy and great value!
Works great! Super sturdy! I have a big, full size, 26" fat tire Ebike and it hardly moves at all. Directions are pretty straight forward. Definitely recommend!

This thing is awesome
It really took 15 minutes to put together. It’s amazing. It doesn’t wobble. The bikes are very secure.

Extremely well made and heavy duty. Greatly exceeds expectations.
Based on other customer reviews, I assumed that this was going to be a good purchase. But I must say, this has got to be one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon...and I have made a lot of purchases on Amazon. The build quality is excellent and this bike rack is solid as a rock. The welds are beautiful and completely surround each joint. As another purchaser commented, there is no spot welding here. And the black powder coating is perfectly executed and appears to be thick. Moreover, the manufacturer/designer included all of the extras. The included hitch lock with what appears to be a brass cylinder looks like what might typically be a $25 dollar option; and I also love the fact that you can also lock your bikes onto the rack with the included ratcheting hold-down arms that also have locking mechanisms. As far as assembly is concerned, I had no trouble assembling the bike rack in about 45 minutes by myself, and using only the supplied instructions--which I found to be very clear. Of course, I helped my daughter assemble some of her Lego kits and believe me, if you are struggling with the pictorial instructions, ask any child you know who enjoys Lego sets for help if you can't figure out how the parts fit together. Just lay out all of the parts and match together nuts, bolts and washers of the same size, and assembly should be a breeze.I would also point out that the kit I received included three wrenches, which is all you need to completely assemble and attach the carrier into your 2-inch hitch receiver. Nevertheless, if you have a socket wrench set with 17mm and 19mm sockets, it will make the assembly even easier if you use those sockets instead of the included open-end wrenches. Notably, one of the wrenches included in the kit is a gorgeous, 11" long, highly polished chrome 24mm combination wrench (open end and box end) that is used for attaching the threaded pin through the hitch reciver and the tongue of the bike carrier. I would guess that a similar wrench if purchased separately, even if at a discount store such as Harbor Freight, would cost at least $10 to $12 dollars; but it is included in the kit! I will keep that wrench in my SUV so that it is always handy for attaching the carrier to the hitch.

Dangerous, Misleading, and Completely Unacceptable
This so-called “new” hitch bike rack is nothing short of a disgrace. What arrived at my door looked like it had already lived a hard life: gouges, scratches, missing parts, and the unmistakable look of a used return that was simply repackaged and resold as new. Passing this off as a brand-new product isn’t just careless, it’s fraudulent. The assembly process was a nightmare. The instructions were written with zero regard for clarity or safety — vague diagrams, missing steps, and such poor guidance that I had to resort to online forums just to guess how the pieces were meant to fit together. For equipment designed to carry bicycles at highway speeds, that level of incompetence is flat-out dangerous. This purchase was a complete insult to my time, money, and trust as a customer. Not only was the product defective and misrepresented, it left me questioning whether the company behind it has any quality control standards whatsoever. If this is the level of care they put into a critical piece of equipment, I shudder to think how many people are unknowingly strapping thousands of dollars’ worth of bikes to a rack that was never safe to begin with.Save yourself the frustration, the wasted money, and the potential risk to your gear. This product is unfit for sale, unfit for use, and unfit for the brand name stamped on it. Zero stars would still be generous

Sturdy and holds up to 13K miles
I’ve put this rack through hell on the back of my Toyota Sienna. Assembly was quick and it’s super easy to remove from the hitch. I crossed the country four times with two bikes on the back of my van, for a total of 13K miles. This rack holds up to the use! Bikes stay in place securely and even lock in place. If there’s even a hint of a jiggle, the rack is easy to tighten up, but rarely needs it. It comes with extra keys to lock the bikes in place, which is a huge plus when you’re living in a van and staying in sketchy spots overnight. Our bikes are different sizes and the adjustments are easy to make. The rack also folds up l, which means we can open the hatch of the van and we use the rack to hold our camp stove while cooking - a multi purpose addition to the van. I’m absolutely thrilled with the price and the ease of use.
