I live in Vegas which is known for having incredibly hard water (250+ ppm). Went online to look for a softener and after a bunch of research settled on this one. I wanted to go for a salt system because according to reviews salt systems generally outperform non-salt systems in terms of water softening. The package is EXTREMELY heavy. Requires two people to lift. I had to buy a heavy duty cart from Home Depot to lift. As for installation I hired a plumber $760 to install. Expensive? Yes. But damned if I was gonna set it up myself- it takes me 4 hours to screw some metal panes together, I have absolutely no knowledge of handiwork. My plumber was great. Installed it in 3.5 hours to the side of my house. Installed an enclosure to protect it from the weather (somewhat). The water in the house went from 250+ ppm down to under 25. I couldn’t believe it. It’s insane how effective this is. I’m sure other water softener systems are also good. As long as you install it properly then you shouldn’t have any issues with water hardness. This one just happened to be within my price range and was not too difficult to install (for the plumber). GENERAL PIECE OF ADVICE- if the water softener system has a local office with sales rep and a whole infrastructure, they’re probably overpriced and will try to screw you, for example Kinetico. Just hire a plumber and you’ll get the same service.

Easy to install. Automatic start up. After almost 2 months, no hard water stains anymore. Have it installed on our water well. Works fantastic and uses 1/10 the salt of our old Kenmore.

UPDATE: Their customer service contacted me to replace the tank under the warranty. +++++ I bought this system 2 years ago and the salt tank and grid plate are not working well. I opened a warranty request with them and because "I did not register the product within 60days" they do not cover anything. This registration period is just a scam because most of the people do not do that. If I have the invoice, why does it matter if I registered or not. So, poor customer support and it does not work as expected.

We've had this system for about a year. I can't say enough good things about it and their customer service. We have this on our well in North Central Florida. Water is high iron and high lime scale. This filter stops every bit of that. And I do mean all of it. Water is drinkable straight out of the tap, no lime scale on showers, noiron build up in the toilets. The first system arrived with an electronic problem that caused it to not cycle thru the start up process. Tech support walked us thru everything but nothing worked. They immediately sent us the new electronic head. That's another nice thing about this system, with the separately attached head unit, there was only two wires to unplug and two screws to take out, the remainder of the tank and plumbing did not have to be touched. When the new arrived, it took less than 5 minutes to remove the first and install the new one. It started up immediately and cycled thru the startup process and it has been working like that all this time. The instructions for installing the system are probably the best I've ever seen, with full on pictures for each step. They also have videos on line and some they will send you. We would definitely purchase again. Kudos to the product designers and this company for a job well done.

I replaced my 25 year old Water Right 32,000 grain system with the AquaSure 48,000 grain system. I had never replaced the media in the old system and I was looking at $350 to replace the media and rock in the old cylinder, so I decided just to replace the whole system with a new one. I was a little hesitant at first because of the low price (I paid around $1500 25 years ago for the Water Right) but the more I researched it the more clear it became that these are not complex machines that need to cost $3000. The controller is just a basic timer/flow reader and the real magic is done by the media inside the cylinder which is just science and the identical process no matter how you spend on the system they all work on ion exchange. I have great tasting and smelling well water with low amounts of iron so I was able to use the regular media and I opted to get the pre-filter to cut down on the amount of sediment introduced to our plumbing lines. It's been a week since we installed it and our water has went back to being as soft as it was when our old system was new. It did take a few days because we have a 80 gal water heater and you have to work through that old hot water before you feel the effects of the new softer water. Also their installation instructions were well written and easy to understand.

Review after 6 months ------------------------- The water softener is not able to soften the hard water. Its absolutely a scrap now. I can't believe it is rated >4 stars. It seems not accurate. Review after 4 months -------------------------- The quality of resin is very poor and I am stuck with this inferior product. The regen calculation is all wrong and the performance of the softening derioriates very quickly. It does not even reach half the gallons that the calculator told me to set. I think the resin is very poor quality and thats the reason it needs frequent regenration. This really limits the usage of a large Aquasure system for a small family. After 1 week -------------- After a weeks run, this product looks good so far. It is able to remove the hardness and bring down from 13gpm to about 1gpm. I wish the tools and connectors provided were enough to mount it. But had to bring some connectors from home depot to mount it. Overflow pipe from brine tank is not there. Not sure why Aquasure wated to save $4-5.
