Been thinking about buying this for a long time, but I’m so glad I finally bought it as it’s amazing! Really easy to use and clean. Perfect size and nice and light (but not too light) for when we go camping, even been using it in the garden instead of cooking in the kitchen! Really happy with this, definitely a good value for money.

Excellent addition to our camping equipment. Easy to use and the heat distribution was perfect. Cooks amazing breakfast - evenly. Sturdy and durable. Cleans easily and love the bag it comes in.

Amazing bit of kit ! Have used cadac chef for the last 15 years. Now with two burner cadac so easy for outside cooking. Neat bit of kit that folds away to a very easy compact size in its bag. This does come with gas burner connection so don't be tempted with Amazon's other things bought with this item. It's not needed !! Save yourselves an extra £13 .

For those unfamiliar, CADAC is a South African company renowned for its LPG-powered grills and braais (BBQs). Many South African households, including mine, have cherished a CADAC Skottle Braai—ours is over 35 years old and was handed down from my father-in-law. That legacy of reliability made CADAC the natural choice when I needed a new camping stove. ⭐ Pros: Efficient Burners: I’ve been using it with a CAMPINGAZ 907 cylinder (similar in size to a No. 5 gas cylinder back home), and the burners are impressively efficient. Portable & Practical: It comes with a carry case and two grills it works like a charm! Thoughtful Accessories: I appreciated the inclusion of a 90-degree quick-connect fitting—especially since I had already bought one separately, not realising it was included. Good Heat Control: The burner knobs are smooth to operate, with a clear stop before switching off—great for precise cooking. Easy Ignition: The starter is intuitive and reliable. ⚠️ Cons: A Bit Bulky: Ideal for camping, but not the best choice for festivals or situations where you’ll be walking long distances to your site. Mixed Build Quality: While the lid and burner plate are metal, the base is plastic. I’m a bit concerned about the long-term durability of that plastic base. No Windbreaks Included: Side wind protection would’ve been a nice touch. I’ve improvised with large cookie cutters for now, but I’m planning to buy standalone windbreaks. Questionable carry case: The carry case seems decently made but the jury is out on it's longevity, its made from nylon with pockets for the grills, we will see how it holds up to use. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a reliable, efficient, and familiar camping stove—especially with a bit of South African heritage—this CADAC model is a solid choice. It’s not perfect, but it delivers where it counts. 4 stars due to some mixed build material and the carrying case.

A great cooker with the extra cooking plates Shall be using for the first time this weekend on our weekend away

Bought this for my campervan. Works great I use it with the 3 gas "power pack" which I already owned. This is way better than the cheap Halfords one I had before. Easy to clean and comes with a nice bag.

Cadac gear might appear pricier than similar items but when compared with the alternatives it is far more solid and much better quality. Coming with two pan supports as well as non stick plates, one griddle one plain, provides many different ways of using. After initial heating if can be turned down to a lower setting that provides enough heat to cook properly without burning. Plenty of videos on line for this product. In very windy conditions the burner can blow out on the minimum setting so take that into account and position accordingly. I run this off propane but also works with butane. The QR stands for quick release so the gas pipe (purchased separately) just clicks on and off. Probably worth paying a little extra to obtain a Cadac regulator fitted with the QR system which you can be certain is gas tight. This might not have the charcoal flavour of a real bbq but is very easy to use, ready to cook in minutes and has the controllability of gas so food is cooked not burnt. Cadac accessories are also well priced and quite astonishing quality.
