I have shaggy carpet. Will this ruin/put out my carpet?

Can this be used to get the little lint balls that form on bedsheets? Or will it damage them?

Yes and no. You need to hold the bed sheet tight. It works great on furniture especially getting dog hair off. My friend uses it to get the little balls off her sweaters. I sticky roller might work also.
