I am a video professional from way back. The touchscreen switching on the Yolo was hard for me to master. The Yolo Deck takes me back to my Grass Valley days of having a tactile video switcher. I can now switch cameras without having to look away at the touch screen keys, but use my muscle memory for the cameras. Unlike the old Grass Valley, they keys are programmable so I can line up my cameras (or camera effects) in the location and order that I want, so my 1,2,3,4 fingers match up to the sources that want. It even supports double re-entry effects! This completes the Yolo package!

Update 2 - it’s been nearly a year and no updates to operating system - still useless. On top of that my low review on yololiv website was deleted and replaced with positive ones. Don’t get scammed out of $150. Move on until they fix this joke. Wish they allowed 0 stars. *****update***** Months later after first review and still half baked. Removing one of two stars. Tried to use this for a conference and it is an absolute waste of time compared to my Atem and Stream deck. You can’t even change audio sources? Super disappointed and hope this gets updated and customizable. Been gathering dust on my shelf for months. Original review… So this is not ready for production in any way. There is no way to change the names so you’re left with generic names like 1 source, 2 source, ect. Also your graphic overlays are 1 overlay, 2 overlay ect. When you have 5 of each it gets confusing. Not all segments happen every week so it is hard to remember which overlay is to what number - so it actually doesn’t save any time. Also not all items are programmable. I wrote a review when I bought it on the Yololiv website which was replied to with “it is coming” but that was months ago. For now I’m sticking with the tried and true Atem extreme and stream deck. If you buy it now, you’re paying to be a beta tester on a half baked product. Once this gets customizable then it will actually be quite useful.

The YoloDeck is great. I don't use mine for live streaming yet...I use it to switch from three cameras myself while I'm in the video. I discreetly hide it below me...it's a great addition!

I use the YoloBox Pro frequently for livestreaming youth sports and my biggest complaint is the number of screen taps required to update the scoreboard. Like...can't this be made easier?Enter the YoloDeck. Every button is easily customizable using a simple drag-and-drop interface in the YB, and the YD allows for multiple "pages" of buttons. I've not got all of my scoreboard functions on one YD page and can update scores with the press of a single button. My only remaining complaint is that it doesn't offer the option to start / stop the scoreboard...hoping a future software update will add that functionality.The YD can also be used to select video sources and overlays with a single button-press. This functionality has a ton of potential, but I find I don't use it at all because the buttons are just labeled "Overlay 1", "Overlay 2", etc. I always have to navigate to the overlay on the YB to see which is which, and that defeats the whole purpose. Really looking for YOLOLIV to provide a software update that pushes a small overlay image onto the YD buttons...that would make it idea for swapping overlays.Overall, I love this product, but giving 4 stars due to the software-correctable deficiencies identified above. Make those adds and this is a solid 5-star item.Side note - the YD doesn't have a 4-20 threaded connector for mounting on a tripod or camera mount, which is a non-issue if used in a studio, but for a livestreamer using it in the field, it's a real need. I did find a case on Etsy that provides both the threaded connector, as well as drop / impact protection, so good to go on that front.
