I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth and while it is very good, the dpad is probably its biggest flaw. I was intrigued by the Ultimate 2C and am very pleasantly surprised to find the dpad is significantly improved. It's clickier, more responsive and less mushy than the original Ultimate.I was also keen to test the unusual L4 and R4 shoulder buttons which I had never seen before. I can say that these are also a successful addition, easy to use and very easy to set with the special assign button. I thought they may be awkward to hit but they truly work like an assistant to the standard shoulder buttons.The sticks, shell and face buttons are all excellent, good feeling and no accidental activations. Hall effect sticks and triggers at this price is great. I don't use them but the included more convex shaped thumbstick caps are a thoughtful inclusion.I respect 8Bitdo for their willingness to try different configurations and layouts. There is always a tradeoff in terms of price and functionality, so you do lose the back buttons on the pricier models but I find the new L4 and R4 to be a worthy replacement.I'm very pleased to see tweaks and improvements made. 8Bitdo if you're listening, this style of dpad is a vast improvement and the L4 R4 experiment is a keeper. A future 3C with these improvements plus back buttons or even 4 actuator keys like the Xbox Elite controllers would be great.

love it, the quality is really good and it connects in BT in Linux with no issues, I am having an issue connecting with the Wifi dongle, though, but, I am running an older distribution. I know that the newer kernels should be plug and play. (I'll test that in the future) It feels like you are holding an Xbox controller. and is slightly lighter. I really dig that they moved the back buttons from under the controller to the front and grouped them with the bumpers and triggers. I always accidently press them when they are under the controller so I really think this is a better place for them for Me. also, I really like the Hall effect analogs and the 1000hz polling rate. (while in 2.4G or wired) very happy with the purchase.

I've been picking up 8BitDo controllers for all of my consoles and I have never been disappointed. These are high quality controllers and aren't like the other knockoff controller brands where you're sacrificing quality for price. I don't know how they manage to sell these controllers for so cheap when they are so high quality, but you won't see me complaining about it!If you're looking for a controller for any of your consoles, but don't want to pay the crazy OEM prices, 8BitDo is definitely the gold standard for aftermarket controllers!

I bought it for the recharge, and supposed bluetooth support... the bluetooth isn't "universal" but I'm sure there will be a solution later

For $30 it's hard to beat it. Only negative I've encountered at all is sometimes if handled rough (dropped) the thumbsticks may come a but loose, like if you ever tugged on a ps2 joystick it's like that, but you can just press it back in if it happens. I like the tension level on the joysticks, triggers may not be for everyone, they're a bit short and take very little force to press, but I like them.

Quality controller but honestly every controller I've ever purchased from 8bitdo has met all my needs. The buttons feel great under my thumb and fingers, the texture feels good in my hands. I know "hall effect" is supposed to be superior but I'm not super up on controller technology. The contrasting colors really pop.The L4/R4 "extra" buttons are located by the triggers which is different as I'm used to those being on the bottom of the controller and despite being in an unfamiliar area I like their location (probably because I just don't use them enough). So this worked on my Windows laptop, docked steam deck, and a linux desktop with no issues.Bottom Line: Another solid product from 8bitdo

Some games just aren't made for Keyboard/Mouse. The experience was made for sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the cinematics. I use this nearly every day and just as often as my keyboard and mouse.After over a year of regular use, I find the joysticks to slightly drift or bug on occasion, but nothing severe that makes games unplayable. It goes away on its own for now - but at the price, I'm unbothered and would absolutely order another to replace it down the line. Ordered mine in lavender and my significant other's in green to match our respective setup accents (:We got the matching keychains too and I keep mine attached to my backpack for work!

I needed a PC controller to play games on my computer and hey look, this is cheap! Works perfectly, just plug and play with minimal setting up. Great purchase and I'd say this would be great for kids.
