Hiboy BK1 Kids Electric Balance Bike, Ages 3-5, 12-Inch Tires, UL 2272

This little bike is incredible. I bought 2 for my boys, who were 3 and 5 at the time. My 3 year old took about 6 months to arm up to it, and now that he is 4, he tried it out. My 5 year old rolled with it since day one. Now, the two of them speed around the neighborhood and skate parks like pros. The battery life is good, the speed is perfect for young kids - fast enough to get a bit of a thrill but not so fast they are flying over the handle bars. This is an incredible item for the price. Your kids will love it! The ONLY thing to be prepared for is how quickly they will destroy their shoes. My kids slow down with both the break AND using their toes, so they run through the toes of shoes very quickly.

Man the startup instructions aren’t great. It appeared to be dead out of the box. We had no idea you had to pedal the bike before the throttle engaged. This is very unfortunate for riding uphill and is a safety hazard on a steep incline if a child doesn’t know how to brake properly and begins to roll down backwards. Customer service was very prompt and helped me make a return. Because of that I’m giving 5 stars. For the right kid this is an amazing addition for the price!

We got this bike for our 2 1/2 year old grandson. It was a little tall for him so we cut the seat post down a bit and now it fits him great where his feet can touch flat footed. He rode it for the first time today and had so much fun! We have it on the first “gear” at 5 mph so he can just zip around. His hands aren’t able to manage the brake handle well yet so he just lets off the throttle and puts his feet down to slow down. He rode for over an hour and didn’t want to stop. It was easy to put together and even though we only charged it for an hour or two it had plenty of battery. It wasn’t too heavy for him and he is a smaller kid for his age. We are very happy with the purchase so far, most e-bikes were too tall for him and also quite a bit more money. This will be great until he gets a 50cc in a couple years. Or sooner. It’s great that this bike has a throttle to prepare him for a motorcycle later on.

My son absolutely loved this bike and thought it was fun to ride....while it worked. When we first got the bike, my son was just starting to learn how to ride so he didn't ride it for several months. When he did he loved it. Unfortunately, after a couple months of use the motor stopped functioning. The battery life was good for my sons attention span while the bike functioned. Unfortunately, it was not durable and did not last more than a couple months before it broke. There was no assembly, so it was really easy to assemble. All that to say, this bike was not good value for the money given how quickly it broke. Further, the customer support was terrible. When asked about fixing the bike, they said the motor needed to be replaced but it was out of stock.

Nice little bike not to fast

Great beginner bike for my 4 yr old! Need to charge after every ride but for the price it has been great! Great bike if you aren’t sure your kid is going to like it. Need to kick before being able to use throttle so no chance of whiskey throttle. Brakes work great, my kid is already locking the rear up with no accidents.

Got this for a 2 year and 10month old. He took to it pretty quick it's a good size. You have to roll it before the throttle works. Only downside is the battery is already failing me 8 days after getting it. Battery life was pretty good (a little low) but now we're at maybe 30-45 min tops before it starts beeping. Pretty disappointing for would be and otherwise phenomenal machine.

We have had this bike for right at a year and it has been phenomenal. I have seen a few reviews of people staying in the Customer Service was not the best and after a year of owning it, we had our first problem that involved a warranty replacement originally we had purchased the insurance that went along with this and I started a claim and they told me it was still under warranty so I’ve reached out to the manufacturer and within a few email exchanges I had tracking information of a new battery they were shipping me when I started all this. I was three days from the #Warranty expiring and they had no problem getting this taken care of completely recommend them. The bike has been amazing for the year. We’ve had it and I foresee it lasting way longer than that and our kid rides the crap out of it.
