I was only introduced to the works Cesaria earlier this year.I bought a few albums but this is what I end up listening to, there’s not a duff track on it.There must be something in the water in Cape Verde!

Beautiful rhythms and beautiful voice

Cesária Évora is--or was--and absolutely amazing singer. My wife and I have listened many, many times to her live concert in Paris in 2004 and so I have finally purchased her Greatest Hits album which was--I believe--produced posthumously. You will not be disappointed: every song is great and it is finally wonderful to have HD music from her.

10年ほど前に鬼籍に入った　裸足のディーバのベスト盤。ラテンとアフリカが混ざったタメの効いたリズムに乗せて広がる艶っぽいセザリア節は最高！ルックスはとぼけたおばあちゃん、なのに声の色気が半端ない。こんな温度差あるシンガー、見た事無い。売れるまでが長かったらしいが、最後にこの艶っぽさを手にした彼女の半生に何かあったのかと想像したくなる。ジャズやr&b以外の女声シンガーをお探しの方にお勧め。
