ng-book: The Complete Guide to Angular

This book only has two reviews, each with one star claiming the book only covers up to Angular 4. I can confirm my version covers up to Angular 6. This book is comprehensive and well-written. As far as learning Angular, everyone learns differently so to each their own.

Book has good code & examples, but at some point just says 'refer to the sample code' and gives a lot of the rest of the code out of context. First few chapters are very hands on, then gets sporadic and just says 'feel free to play around with the provided code' instead of actually guiding you through the build process.

I like this book. It provides sample projects that gradually build up on concepts you need to know in Angular. I can type along and try out the concepts as I read through the pages. More than just a plain reference book.

I have 2 serious strikes against this book. The book is marketed as for Angular 6 - But the book I received was Angular 5 instead - wrong version.2nd strike - Some of the examples refer to the code that needs to be downloaded - But you cannot download it! I have filled in the form and am supposed to get a link, but it never comes. Contact information does not work also.UPDATE! I was able to reach the publisher - They provided me within about 15 minutes of reaching them through their FB Page the proper download link. The book I ordered and received were different - The publisher got me though what I needed. The book layout and instruction are EXCELLENT for a beginner and I would recommend the newest version of the book just based on the progress I am making through this one.

It's really great edition. It's usable in my casual work, because it covers all topics that could be need and, moreover, great font / code examples / explanations.

Didn't receive as described. Received Angular 5 book instead of Angular 6. Wasted our valuable time

We used this in a recent Angular training course at the office, and I thought it was a very good book for both the beginners and several developers with a little more Angular experience. It is laid out well and expands from basic "how to create your first app" to more advanced topics like custom directives, host binding, reducers and app state using Redux, and a pretty good coverage of unit tests. Two things I wish it included: coverage of how to write end-to-end tests and an index, but for a beginner or mid-level angular developer I would very definitely recommend this book.

The book doesn't have an index section as normal books do.

This book covers all the important topics. Trust me you are not going to get everything in YouTube or the online paid platforms. This book really creates the depth.

Très bien pour s’initier au développement Angular. Je regrette qu'il ne soit imprimé qu'en noir et blanc. Certaines photos sont juste illisibles... Je suis toujours en cours de lecture.

El mejor libro de Angular 6 que puedes encontrar. PERO...Le faltan dos capítulos, está en blanco y negro y el papel es de mala calidad.Por eso lo devolví. Que falten dos capítulos respeto a la versión PDF es inadmisible y que encima esté en blanco y negro cuando el texto señala cosas refiriéndose a colores.

The print material should be in colour especially the code listing, but the actual context is top notch.

Great book educationally but the content is all printed without colors unlike the online version.There is no syntax highlighting on the code blocks which makes it hard to read.
