Apparently that’s normal because your weight gets distributed onto tiny bones or something but I really couldn’t take it anymore. What’s the point of working out if you end up with a painful bum??So I did some digging and found out that there are seat cover things that you can put over the seat. Why I didn’t think of that earlier, I have no idea. I prefer doing my shopping online so the first place I looked was amazon. There’s tons of them on the site but I ended up picking this one. Something about it having 1600+ positive reviews just caught my attention and after reading some of them I was sold.This seat is now one of 3 of my “must haves” for spin class...along with my  stainless water bottle  and  high fidelity earplugs.  The earplugs help filter out the random background noise so I can hear the instructor and music comfortably (the studio that I go to is always super loud for some reason).Am I happy with the purchase? Yes!! I was a little worried that the fit would be off since I wasn’t sure exactly how big the seat was exactly but it ended up fitting perfectly. Installing it was super easy, there’s a string that you just tie to the bottom of the bike. There are also grippy things that keep it from sliding around so it doesn’t move even when you’re doing an intense workout.One of my favorite things about the cover is the gel pad. Its very soft and comfortable which is a godsend when I’m doing my two hour sessions. No discomfort or pain, actually it makes me feel well supported. Some people say that the gel will melt but I haven’t experienced anything like that though I’ve only been using it for a couple weeks. I’d like to mention also that it holds up well in the wash. It gets pretty gross with sweat after a while so I always wash it by hand when I get home. Not sure if its machine washable though.I was also surprised that it came with a free ebook. I haven’t had time to actually read it yet but I thought its a nice gesture from the company owner.The only thing is that I wish it came in more colors. I got the blue and it’s a little brighter than I thought it would be. Personally I would have preferred something more like navy.
