Can the result change after standing for a certain length of time?

However; to confirm negative results, the complete reaction time of 5 minutes is required. A positive result will not change after the test is completed at 5 minutes. I see a very faint line, or what looks like a line in the test area. Is this a positive result?

Faint lines in the test area, as long as the faint line is the same color as the other line, tend to indicate extremely early pregnancy. The reason it’s so faint is because there’s HCG present, but it’s not in high enough concentration to make a bold line. HCG doubles every 24 hours once it’s being produced, so if you see a faint line (and you’re pregnant) you’ll see a slightly darker line the next day, and a darker line the day after that. If you don’t see a darker line as time goes on, or the line disappears altogether, it’s possible you had a chemical pregnancy (where your egg was fertilized, but for whatever reason it wasn’t viable and so it never made it to the embryo stage) If the faint line isn’t the same color as the other line, however, it may be an evaporation line where your urine made it to that point and dried, leaving a faint almost squiggly line.

I bought this and had some left over from another brand. The other brand has a higher minimum sensitivity than these and picked up my pregnancy before these. If you want to use this brand get the pack with the larger ones in plastic (comes with 6 of those and 10 of these crappy sticks) because even between the sticks of the same brand the larger ones in plastic did better and show positive. These little sticks have bad indents and aren't sensitive at all. The big ones in plastic are a bit hard to see with that plastic being so reflective, but they're pretty easily removed (without compromising the test).
