Co Enzyme Q10 is found in every cell of the body but is especially concentrated in the energy intensive cells of the heart. It plays a key role in the release of energy from cells into the muscles and is a powerful antioxidant. From the age of 20 our levels of Co Enzyme Q10 naturally decline as we become less adept at producing it ourselves. This places a higher reliance on our diet to support the necessary levels of this key nutrient. With a decline in the quality of food production and food choice the average adults demand can outweigh supply. Additionally, it is now widely recognised that those taking statin medication can be deficient in Co Enzyme Q10, so experts often recommend supplements as a natural way of boosting Co Enzyme Q10 within the body

I recently switched to this brand and dosage, because I wanted to improve on quality and effectiveness. I think I have managed that. I'm giving it to a family member with suspected Parkinsonian symptoms and he's benefiting from this supplement. As he's taking statins too, its even more important that he gets hold of good quality Q10, as statins interferes with normal levels of uptake. He tells me he has more energy and better mental focus since taking it. I've been to see him once since he started taking it, and he seemed a lot better to me.Apparently the Basal Ganglia part of the brain requires a fair bit of Q10 and so Parkinson's sufferers, who have Basal Ganglia problems anyway, have been shown to benefit from quite high doses of this.I think we'll stick to 100mg for now and see how things go.

I take it every day and obviously it is doing me good because I do have loads of energy for my age which is 89 and feel extremely fit - I have a friend of 96 in Canada and she takes this Q10 every day and still driving and really with it - full of energy - of course from a different company but Q10 is Q10 and depends on the strength one purchases

are these really CoQ10?
The capsules that arrived do not look like ones we have ever had before - they are larger and paler in colour, have a strange aftertaste and I am not convinced they are CoQ10 at all. I've written to the seller.

Effective for treating some statin side effects
One capsule a day removed 90% of the muscle cramps that were caused by statins. Two capsules a day removed the problem completely.Muscle cramp is known to occur when you have insufficient Q10. Statins are known to reduce Q10 as an unwanted side effect. Older people are said to have more of a problem with this. I got the problem after a decade on statins. I am very happy to have found such a simple solution.

I've nothing else apart from complan & equivalents to help me gain energy.
Since NHS refused me treatment with IV steroids for my condition of MS, I need more energy, Naltrexone does seem to help.Coq10 is reliableFor half a day at least, till lunchtime,I will also try creatinine.

terribly packed in a big carton box not even suitable for food!
These have soy bean oil in them, which is not good for health - this should be mentioned about the product in the description. Also, the tabs were terribly packed, I ordered 6 and they were packed in very loose cheap plastic bags, 2 of which were open and the tabs were all over the place inside a carton box that is not even suitable for food! This is unacceptable!
