A couple of years ago, the freezer in the garage was left open after kids got into it. about 100 pounds of meat spoiled. A few months ago the same thing happened - this time when the door was left slightly open. Another 50-ish pounds lost. That's not happening again. Installation is easy. The sensor has a built in battery - just pull a tab. There's a little mount with double sided sticky tape for the temp probe, so mounting it is straightforward, too. You don't need to install an app, but you probably should so an alarm will go off on your phone if the temp gets outside of what you say is OK while you are away from home. The display, which is bright, easy to use beeps when alarming, and is loud enough that most of the first floor hears it but for some reason nobody upstairs could. I don't know exactly how long it was from the time I warmed up the sensor until the alarm started beeping, but I'd guess it was around 5 minutes. The probe has a thin wire that you shut the door on and connects to the sensor. The sensor and the display connect to wifi and can connect to the internet for you to get information on your phone like alerts and even a graph of how temperatures have changed. I know this thing says that it's good for a huge range of temperatures, but all I've used it for so far is in the freezer which runs about 7 degrees F. It does come with 2 probes/sensors. Maybe I'll put the other in the kitchen fridge.

I don’t write reviews very often. I have found the remote temperature products sold by MOCREO to be outstanding! On April 1, 2025 I bought the LCD Display Hub called an H5-Lite and two ST5 Temperature Sensors with external temperature probes. The ST5 only measures temperature. I was concerned that the Bluetooth communications would not reach one of the sensors placed a 100 feet away through an outside house wall and vegetation to monitor pool water temperature…range was not a problem. The second sensor was placed to monitor a refrigerator in the garage several internal house walls away. Range again was not a problem. I made sure not to put the sensor module in a location that was surrounded by metal that would attenuate the Bluetooth signal to the H5-Lite. All sensors come with a Velcro attachment and it works to place the sensors and probes. The smart app was easy to use and it easily was configured to my home WiFi. I followed the initial order by buying a temperature probe for the H5-Lite and ST6 which measures humidity and temperature. I followed that order with an additional order for a ST5 and ST6. All sensors measure temperature within a tenth of a degree with each other and are accurate with other high accuracy temperature sensors I have. The humidity sensors also are very accurate. The batteries have been exposed to temperatures up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit over the summer and have not required a recharge in 6 months. Battery life is excellent. The H5-Lite software has been automatically updated and is reliable. I’ve had no problem accessing the data via the Internet. The pricing for the MOCREO is very reasonable for what it does. The only problem I encountered was when I put the ST5 sensor in an outside plastic waterproof box. With the heat of the summer, the enclosure eventually crushed the temperature probe cable. I contacted MOCREO and told them what I had done. I fully expected to pay for a new probe. They sent me a replacement cable free of charge and I modified the outside box not to crush the cable. They provided excellent customer support and if I can think of other applications, I’ll be ordering a MOCREO!

Everything worked on the first try—no troubleshooting, no confusing steps. The app walks you through the process clearly, which I really appreciated. Performance & Reliability: I’ve been using this to monitor both my fridge and freezer, and the readings have been stable and consistent. Updates come in quickly enough to feel “real-time” for practical purposes, and I haven’t seen any dropouts between the sensors and the hub. Alerts = Peace of Mind: This is the real value. You can set custom high/low thresholds, and notifications come through immediately. I actually caught a temperature spike early, which likely saved me from losing a full freezer of food. That alone paid for the device. Build Quality: Sensors feel solid, not cheap or flimsy. Everything looks and functions like a well-thought-out product rather than a rushed gadget. Who this is for: Anyone with a garage fridge/freezer Meal preppers / bulk shoppers People who travel and want remote monitoring Anyone who just wants to avoid spoiled food surprises Bottom line: Simple to set up, reliable in daily use, and the alerting actually works when it matters. It’s one of those devices you don’t think about—until it quietly saves you money. Highly recommend.

This is a great product. Does a very good job, easy to set up and simple to set. Only issue I have is the temp fluctuates too quickly. It would be better if the probe wires were longer to get away from the door.

Excellent. Easy to install. Small & compact. Easy to understand instructions. Hooked up to our Internet immediately. We have a large investment in several freezers, now we can check out the temps while out of town. Great feeling to know everything is okay. This reduces stress Incase of power outage or flipped breaker. Just ordered 2 more for the other fridge/freezer units in outside storage building. Small price for piece of mind!

Unit is great. Had some difficulty downloading the app. Wifi will not go through steel siding but a repeater will solve the problem. The unit is very accurate; data reveals the run and defrost cycles. Nice.

This is exactly what I was looking for. We had a power outage. The power came back on but the refrigerator was not cooling. The refrigerator is in a separate garage. I installed this very easily. The wireless probe inside freezer section. The main hub in my living room. Easy set up. The temp you see is from freezer cooling down.

Saved us from some faulty electrical wiring. Had a very large freezer hooked to an electric outlet that has burn marks in the electrical box. It shorted out and the freezer stopped. With this device and alerts, I found out within hours after the temperature threshold that I set was exceeded. I love how you can see trends in the graphs and you can figure out normal temperatures and how often your freezer kicks on the keep it cold. We had a bit of a trial and error time trying to have it detect both of our freezers since they are some distance apart, maybe 500ft, but finally found a clear path for both monitors to work. I am at 8 mos and the batteries to the devices still read in the 100-80% range.

I purchased this freezer alarm after loosing $$$ of food. (Door open). Easy installation and works great, I tested the alarm and notification. Both came through right on que, it was set for a 10 minute delay. Would definitely recommend this product.
