will this sink support a garbage disposer?

Accepted Answer

Yes it will. However, you may want to consider a couple of things. One, this sink is 9.5 inches deep. Two, the sink has an offset drain. You may want to measure under your cabinet to make sure there is enough space below and to the side of the offset drain to fit a garbage disposal. One more thing I had to do was buy (it was $15) a drain that fit my Insinkerator garbage disposal. The one that came with the sink did not suit the garbage disposal I have. This is a good sink. What grid/protector fit this sink?

This sink doesn’t need a grid protector. I’ve had mine for 18 months and haven’t had any type of protection ,( in the past I’ve always used a protector)  and it still looks as good as the day we put it in. And to add a little more I don’t own a dishwasher, so my sink is used everyday.. Best sink I’ve ever had...

Question 3

It says you need to have a 36” cabinet.... is this referring to the counter top needs to be at least 36” wide? Or the cabinet underneath needs to be at least 36” wide? I ask because the cabinet beneath my sink measures 34” but the counter top is over 115” as it sets atop multiple cabinets.

That's a great question! The minimum cabinet requirement refers to the cabinet underneath the counter. However, 36" is a standard size, and the actual distance between the two cabinet walls may vary slightly. At 34" you may still be able to successfully install this sink. We would recommend working with a trade professional to determine fit prior to purchase and installation.  Hope this helps!

How do you clean it? What happens when renters use scouring powder or steel wool?

Don’t know about renters. But it seems to clean easy.  We use hot water, soap, and maybe a green scrubby pad if needed.  I’m a plumber and I would think that abrasive powders and things like steel wool are completely unnecessary and damaging.  Free tip: hot water!  That’s the best cleaning agent.   Also running the hot water for a long time (run full hot until it turns warm then turn it off.) will help degrease the drain lines keeping you from having to call a plumber to come snake your kitchen line.  Or you can pay us to do it.  🙂
