What a great bat! I haven't played table tennis for over ...
What a great bat !I haven't played table tennis for over 40 years and was rather concerned about the tackiness of the rubber when I received this bat. After some Google searching I discovered that it is feature of the modern bat and aids spin.I went along to my local club last night and after about an hour of getting used to the bat I was playing quite well and actually won a couple of games. it creates loads of spin and a lot of power which surprised and caught out a couple of the clubs regular players but I suspect they were going easy on me as a novice player. After playing with this bat for approx 4 hours over 3x club meets this bat just gets better and better. It is great for defensive chop spin but has plenty of power too. Even though I'm just a novice I can consistantly play a backhand topspin smash which defeats the other club players 100% of the time and two of them are local league players. Unfortunately Its the only decent shot I have though. At this price level ,including a cover, its hard to see how you could beat this bat .Definitely a well deserved 5 stars thank you Caleson.

Not very offensive
I purchased the cheaper pen-hold option. It's well made and very nicely designed, well packaged but it ends there. It's probably great for an amateur or beginner. This must mean an I intermediate as I don't like it as I've tried other people's bats within a club I am part of so know what I would like. They say this is an offensive bat (weight), but the rubbers on this bat are slower than two bats I've owned for 10+ years (The ball slows down after you've hit it no matter how fast it is coming at you from your opponent. Even my opponent commented on this). It doesn't feel offensive and I could not get any smash like sounds with this. I could hear the bat (sounds very wooden / blocky) and it felt more defensive. Rubber grip wise there was enough to put spin on the table tennis ball, but you could tell it was still very slow going across the net. The bat is heavier than my old bats but I guess weight on this occasion means nothing for attacking. There are not many pen hold bats in the western market. The majority are all shakehand. I guess this purchase was a risk being cheap.

Good overall, a bit heavier than some cheaper ones
Finally I've started winning some games!Good overall, a bit heavier than some cheaper ones. Being heavier, it gives the ball quite a bit of energy even with a light hit.I've used a cheap bat before, made of thin and light wood, making a dumb noise on contact. After having used that one, it was a bit unusual how you just touch the ball and it flies away. The rubber surfaces on two sides seem identical in touch, just different colours. Spinning is pretty easy with these. After a couple of months of daily use the rubber is still in its place :)Disclaimer: I'm a casual office player, playing for 2-3 hours a week in total.

Fast delivery, heavy, good grip, nice rubber, great for beginners - would recommend it
Very good for beginners! Heavy weight, which is good. Good grip. Just one problem there are a few splinter on the handle which is not good but after sand it down or tap around it is fine. I would give 5 star as good for the price of two bats.

Not as good as it pretends to be but who really thought it would be.
I like a heavier bat which this is.Despite the claim on the ad the rubbers on this are mediocre but that's what you would expect for the price. If you are looking for a great bat for leagues or competitions then look at ones a few times more expensive than this but if you just want an OK heavy bat for intermediate play/practice then for the price this is a good option.

As described.
Arrived a day ahead of due date. Early days yet but bats appear to be of good quality. Case they came in is a bit flimsy but this is less important. Enjoying them.

This is a very good bat for the money
This is a very good bat for the money. Mine came with a different black rubber to the red.the black was slower and more controlled and ideal for the backhand. It is light and very spinny. Fast enough to lower exertion but controlled enough to return confidently and accurately. Well considered blade to rubber combination for club player at bargain price which allows for a players stroke development. Impressed.
