Works well right out of the box, easy to hook up and unhook and drain.
This is a great one, would buy again. I bought a different one on Amazon, problems from day one. I decided to to try this one with better reviews. Worked well. Tip, I used a 5-gal bucket from a big box store and can do a full shower with hair wash with just under 5-gal. Learn to be fast, one night I did not shut it off and on, used about the same amount. Another tip, turn it on and run the cold water back into the bucket till the heater gets hot, shut down, get in shower then start. It heats fairly fast but with 52–56-degree mountain water it will use almost a half gal before getting hot, Easy setup and take down. Oh, how long will 1 canister and battery last? We just finished 6 days, 2 showers per day except 1. Battery lasted the full week, a bit past half charge at the end. Canister lasted 5 days. I'm NOT complaining about those numbers at all. You know when the canister is about empty when it starts and cuts out quickly, and not the best time for your wife to have soap on her hair, LOL. One last thing, Camplux, please make a 120v AC to 12vDC converter with a plug. Most vehicles are going away from cig ligher style plug-ins. My truck has one, buried in the bottom of the console. It has two, easy to get to 120vAC plugs, so does the Subaru. Pls come into the modern age. I'm going find one on here.

No AC to DC charging recommended (per manual)
Works great, happy with the performance after having had it a month. I do have a complaint. The only charger that’s provided is the cigarette plug style. The manual says don’t use a AC to DC adapter. I don’t understand why they engineered it in a way that would eliminate the possibility of AC charging. So your left with having to use your car, generator or power station. Not a problem for a lot of people but it also is a problem for a lot of people. Would be nice to be able to charge it in your house. Very disappointed with the shallow thinking of that design. Update 5/13/26 After 3-4 months of use the unit now runs for a few seconds, overheats & shuts off. Maybe my well water caused the passages to be restricted idk, my water runs clear but there can still be mineral build up. My shower setup now consists of a 5 quart pale which I fill with 2.5 quarts of cold water & my GSI 1 quart stainless kettle which I use to boil 1 quart of water & mix with the other 2.5 quarts of cold water & dip it out with a cup. If I’m being honest I’m done spending money on all these gadgets. There’s nothing to fail on a kettle & bucket. That’s my recommendation.

Updated review - Camplux made it right with a BW158 unit
UPDATED REVIEW: This is an update to my earlier comments regarding the Camplux Nano 3 water heater. To make a long story short, the fine folks at Camplux reached out to me regarding my review. After multiple emails, we came to the conclusion that one of their other units would be better suited to my needs. They provided me with a BW158 water heater at no cost. The BW158 has more than met my needs and has exceeded my expectations. I find it to be a durable, well built unit that is superior to its competitors in build quality and performance. I’ve been using it for about two months now. Once the temperature is dialed in, it remains steady/constant. There have been a few breezy days when I have used it and the flame stays lit, providing me with more than enough hot water for my shower. One thing I have noticed - the digital readout is not very bright and I have to cup it with my hand in order to read it. However, that’s a minor detail. I consider my set-up to be semi permanent which is why the BW158 fits my needs to a “T”. The Nano 3 is more for off grid or remote use where there is no access to a dedicated water line. I really appreciate that Camplux contacted me and we were able to get a better understanding of which unit would work best for me. If you’re considering a BW158, buy with confidence. Their superior customer service and quality product has won me over. Original review I did a lot of research into this unit before purchasing. Imagine my disappointment when it came and there was no way to charge except via a car. If I wanted to charge from my house, I would have had to spend more money for a different adapter. Supposedly it can be hooked up to a hose, but it seems as if the design favors getting water from a creek, river, lake, etc. Again, more $ for an adapter. No thanks.

I don't recommend!
There seems to be a quality issue with the Nano 3 Pro. I had to return mine 2 times because the units wouldn't charge right out of the box. Initially the display shows that it is charging but after a few minutes it shuts down and won't charge anymore and the charge display never got above one bar. Amazon customer service was great and they refunded the money and advised me to purchase a unit from a different manufacturer. I decided to go with a Fogatti portable gas hot water heater and I will review it when it comes, hopefully it will work.🙂

Excellent customer service
It did work good when it was working and the water was very hot but I ran into some issues. I must say there is excellent customer service. I was having trouble with it failing to ignite (error code E3) and after some trouble shooting it was decided they would send me a new unit.

Great portable hot shower unit
This unit is a game changer for us - no more bathing in a cold lake. We love this hot shower unit. We communicated with the Camplux support team a few times regarding operating the unit and an issue with the regulator, and found the team extremely attentive and helpful. We are very satisfied with our hot shower unit and recommend Camplux without hesitation.

Works well and is a compact unit.
Purchased the Nano 3 Pro and it functions fine but the temperature of the water is not very hot. On the max temperature setting it’s still very cool. If you test the water temp directly as it exits the shower head it’s warmish but to have a shower with the head further than a foot or two away from you the water feels mild to cool. Otherwise it’s an ok unit. Wish it was warmer. Possible solution that I have found. If the water is cool to start with then I’m simply running the heated water from the unit back into the bucket which brings it up to a better starting temperature. Essentially heating the source water a little.

Could work just how it's supposed to
Who does everything we needed to do hot water doesn't take a lot of water to do people can shower one behind the other on 20 L of water and still have water left in The Jug and not being a hurry to shower it's awesome
