Works great in 2015 F150
A Needed Update: Reviewing the 2015 F-150 Navigation Card Update As a long-time owner of a 2015 Ford F-150, I've always appreciated its robust performance and comfortable ride. However, one area that has undeniably shown its age is the factory navigation system. The original maps, while functional for a while, became increasingly outdated, leading to frustration with new roads, changed routes, and missing points of interest. Finally taking the plunge and purchasing the latest navigation card update was a decision I now wish I had made sooner. The new navigation card arrives as a physical SD card, a simple and straightforward swap from the old one. The installation process itself is incredibly easy: just locate the SD card slot (typically in the console), remove the old card, and insert the new one. The system recognized the new data almost instantly, and after a brief boot-up, I was greeted with a noticeably improved interface. The first and most significant change is the accuracy of the maps. Suddenly, new subdivisions, highway extensions, and recent road changes that had been invisible to my old system were all there. This alone has eliminated countless instances of the GPS "ghosting" me, telling me to turn down a non-existent street or to follow a route that was no longer optimal. The navigation now feels current and reliable, which is a huge confidence booster, especially on unfamiliar long trips. Beyond the updated roads, the Points of Interest (POI) database is also a night-and-day improvement. The old system was missing countless restaurants, gas stations, and other businesses that have opened in the last decade. The new card has a much more comprehensive and accurate list, making it far more useful for finding a quick bite or a fill-up when you're on the go. The visual interface has also received a subtle but welcome facelift. While still fundamentally the same SYNC 2 system, the map graphics are a little sharper, and the routing visuals seem a bit clearer. It's not a complete overhaul to a modern system, but it's a definite step up in usability and aesthetics. One minor drawback, which is really more of a limitation of the 2015 system itself, is that you're still working with the SYNC 2 platform. You're not going to get the slick, modern interface or real-time traffic updates of a smartphone app or a newer vehicle's system. However, for what it is, this update maximizes the potential of the existing hardware. The Verdict: If you're a 2015 F-150 owner still running on the original navigation card, this update is a worthwhile and necessary investment. It breathes new life into a crucial feature of your truck, making the navigation system genuinely useful again. The ease of installation, combined with the dramatic improvements in map accuracy and the POI database, makes this a purchase I highly recommend. It’s a relatively small cost to bring a decade-old system back to a relevant and functional state, ensuring that your trusty F-150 can still guide you reliably for years to come.

This SD card deleted all of my truck’s Licensed Navigation functions. Maps are no longer available.
*** BEWARE *** The navigation function on my vehicle no longer works after I installed this A15 SD and the same thing could easily happen to you. This SD not only doesn’t work; it actually destroyed the existing map functionality on my truck. Before I attempted to use this SD, my 2014 Ford F-150 still had the original factory installed, and licensed, navigation and maps. These maps worked well, but the original A4 vintage SD was very dated, and failed to show newer roads. I had updated the SYNC 2 software to version 3.10 a while back and everything was working well. I decided it was now time to replace the out-of-date A4 maps with the latest (and last) compatible version available for my truck. I ordered an A15 SD from Novus Homo (via Amazon) and received it a couple of days later. I followed the installation instructions that were included with their A15 card. However, when the system first restarted, the “Navigation” function (normally in the upper right quadrant of the home screen) was no longer there. It now said “Information”. I no longer have any access to the Navigation menu and its maps. I reviewed the SD installation steps and I had done everything exactly as they had requested. I tried to revert back to my original A4 card configuration but the Navigation menu is still gone. I can see that the Navigation License is installed and active, but I can’t access the A4 (or A15) maps because the Navigation functionality has been disabled. I have performed all of the available and recommended system resets and reboots multiple times, but nothing has changed. The problem is not that their software simply doesn’t work. A15 SD card from Novus Homo actually deleted my truck’s Licensed Navigation functions. My only viable option now is to take my truck to Ford and pay them several hundred dollars to reenable the Navigation function and install one of their ($150) A15 SD cards. I DON’T RECOMMEND ANYONE PURCHASE AN SD CARD FROM THIS RETAILER.

Screw Ford
Ford wanted around $150 for this same chip. Just the chip for me to walk out the door and not installed which I hope at that price they would install for free. Amazing that this is the same thing at only $25. I can buy six for the price of what Ford wanted. Great product.
