Delicious. The health benefits of the Japanese varietal is uncomparable.
Delicious. Low sugar compared to other sweet potatoes. High roughage yet flavourful. Kejora Japanese Purple Sweet Potatoes ARE THE SAME AS Okinawan Japanese Sweet Potatoes in that decades back Okinawan were brought to Hawaii then planted there. They are the same varietal therefore these are the high anthocyanin chemical that is anti-cancer, in that there's massive research (not just lab, not just on animals but human trials) that the high anthocyanins actually can kill 'cancer stem cells' (process of apoptosis) which causes cancer to come back after surgical removal, as well as anthocyanin chemical in them, giving them such vibrant deep purpler color, is also 'anti-angiogenic' meaning destroying the vascularization of cancer (which is when cancer's quantum multiplies). YES THIS VARIETAL IS EXPENSIVE. By my calculation, $7 per sweet potato. The box of 6 total was 4 lbs was just under $35 end of 2025 when I purchased. But health-wise, flavor wise, worth it. Several universities, Cornell Universities and University of Colorado, are trying to genetically engineer purple potatoes similar to the Japanese ones. So far - nope - not as high in anthocyanins, but that they are trying to duplicate by genetic engineering demonstrates the unique nature of this varietal. Personally, I couldn't find any that were cheaper anywhere online, that were for imbibing vs older / perhaps moldy as seed potatoes for planting. Yes I'll buy again.

Perfect potatoe to consume
These potatoes are amazing. They are easy to prepare and they taste great. In my case, I just steamed the potatoes for 20min max and at the end it ready to consume. Soft and firm, that's it. Will definitely buy again. I have been buying these for a longtime. They're expensive but they worth the price. I received 3 potatoes, roughly $10 per potato, $31 for 3lbs of potatoes. The benefits of these purple potatoes outweigh the cost. The delivery was flawless. I thank Amazon for this. Amazon makes my life easy. Thank you!!

Rotten and Inedible – Demand Full Refund!
I am extremely disappointed with this product and demand a full refund. The sweet potatoes arrived in terrible condition — they were shriveled, discolored, and some appeared partially rotten or freezer-burned. It’s clear they were not fresh and were likely sitting in storage for far too long. This is unacceptable for a product that was advertised as fresh and of high quality. The packaging was also flimsy and did not protect the sweet potatoes at all during shipping. I spent good money on this and received inedible produce. I expect a full refund immediately.

Arrived on time
Came right on time. They are a beautiful color. They are not really sweet, also very fiberous and stringy.

The company selling this product keeps is promise of quality and freshness.
I am very pleased with my purchase. My first experience with this product was when I was visiting Maui, Hawaii at a luau. The deep rich color was very inviting to my taste buds that were screaming, try it! I did, and fell madly in love with the texture, taste, the vibrant purpleness of this sweet potato that was so delicious I went back for seconds. Being a "Southern Belle" from the south, I had only known of the orange sweet potato. I immediately started searching for these potatoes when I arrived back in Texas with no success. My plans to surprise my family with a purple sweet potato pie this year, brought intentional laughter within as I imagined the looks on their faces until they bravely took one bite of this delicious no sugar needed purpleness. Finally, a search on Amazon led me to this wonderful purchase of the Kejora Japanese Purple Sweet Potato. This potato has a particular color (ash grey), before cooking/baking, and after it has been cooked (same grey) and an accommodating taste and fullness that indicates to your tummy that there is no need for a meat selection to accompany it. All of what I experienced in Hawaii, was an exact duplicate with this purchase. I was very pleased with it in comparison to all the other indicated purple Japanese sweet potatoes available around town, all of which I found within this product. The amount of the purchase was reasonable and the arrival time was on point. I will definitely, be making more purchases in the future. Freshness: Excellent Quality: Excellent

Purple Sweet Potatoes thumbs up
These potatoes are very good. The skin is nice to eat and what they send does vary in color and possibly they send different kinds of Japanese purple sweet potatoes. I was disappointed to receive different potatoes on my 2nd order. The seller accommodated my refund request. I'm getting ready to order again with an expectation that I may receive the Dark purple flesh and skin ones or I may receive the lighter almost pink cream colored purple sweet potato variety. I love them both and will be a repeat customer. I have grown many varieties of purple Japanese Sweet Potatoes in my greenhouse. It's a lot of work. I am enjoying the summer off from gardening and appreciate that I can order these from Kejora.

Good but expensive
I like the product, I have purchased it on 2 different occasions, however the price is a bit much for me. It arrived fresh and the quality was good. I'm glad I tried it, but I will not purchase again.

Waste.
Items came snapped into pieces and completely dried out. Spent too much money on this and should have known better. What a waste.
