I'm refurbishing a jon boat and planning to use this in the front of the boat where I'll need a little more height to control a foot operated trolling motor. The other seats I'm planning on keeping low for the time being. I'm not totally sure if this is going to not be too much stress on the seat well on the boat since there's going to be a certain amount of leverage being applied since it is raised, so we'll have to see how it goes.This post is perfectly manufactured. I can't see a thing wrong with this and am very impressed with the quality. Fits into the base like a dream. No hesitation recommending this seat post at all.

This 3/4 inch boat seat post is very well made out of machined aluminum. As long as you have the base and the seat, just push that in the base and add your seat on it, it makes it so much nicer to fish when you're sitting up higher. Very good value for the money.
