I hike a lot and I got the scooter so I could take my daughter hiking with the scooter. The assembly was pretty easy. I was very nervous about the brakes, so I took the scooter to a bike shop and had them tighten the brakes, switch hand brakes so that the back tire brake stopped with the right hand. My daughter loves the scooter. The only sad thing is that the maximum height on the handlebarsis 35 inches but the weight goes to 220 pounds which means that the handlebars should go higher and an adult can use it.
