What it is: Stainless steel with black rubber handle bottom bracket wrench for 16-Notch 48.5mm and 49.3mm OD Threaded bottom brackets. Features etched logo with the BB49-16 designation.Why I like it: Every so often, the bike industry adopts new bottom bracket standards and styles, requiring specific tools for removal and installation. I needed this tool to remove and install the PF30 bottom bracket on my titanium bike, which uses a Wheels Manufacturing thread together PF bottom bracket. It also works with other Wheels Manufacturing BSA English threaded bottom brackets for SRAM DUB crank sets. Both require the 16 notch 48.5 wrench. This is comfortable, provides plenty of leverage, and plenty of grip on the surface of the bottom bracket without marring it. Pro tip: Put a layer of plastic wrap over the bottom bracket, then use the wrench for a tighter fit and no scratching in the frame or bottom bracket. Overall, an excellent addition to my bike maintenance tool box.

This is well made tool. The notches are machined nicely and metal used is hard. I noticed that after using it to tighten thread-together Wheels Manufacturing BB386 BB, there are no visible metal shavings on the tool. It fits perfectly on the grooves on BB.The handle part is covered in rubber sleeve which does not seem will last long. Apart from that grip this is an excellent tool. Not deducting any stars because even without the grip you can use it.
