I recommend buying the 5L which can be diluted with 25%/75% ...
Nothing compares to this product. It is so dog-friendly that when my dog was sick I was able to clean it off her bed with her still on it!! I recommend buying the 5L which can be diluted with 25%/75% water for general cleaning and 50/50 for heavier stains. I found that undiluted I was able to remove all trace of oily water spillage (from removing radiator) from our carpet. After 2 applications all that was left was a sandy residue to hoover up. And even though I have severe allergy to most powerful cleaning products I didn't need to use gloves for this. I would buy this even if I didn't have a pet - it really is that good!

Maybe not for a thick rug!
Product arrived in good timeI used it on a deep pile rug which my dog likes to sleep onAfter spraying the rug I left the house for a few hours and on my return walked in to a rather strange smell, and found the rug to be still quite wet,It took a fair time to dry and for the smell to reduce but had no real effect on dog smell, I resorted to my old method of scrubbing the rug instead.

Water and vinegar
Seen this online was excited to try it, it containes water and vinigar, was kinda gutted a paid so much for it. It hasn't really worked but I suppose persistence is the key!
