I am a huge fan of hot dots and it has helped making learning at home easier especially since last year when the pandemic started. I have two small kids so although I do combined activities a lot, I also look for things that they can do independently for their specific age and hot dots is the perfect way for them to do some independent learning. I’ve been looking for some new activities for my kindergartner especially for the summer and this reading workbook is perfect for her! I love that the hot dots pen is interactive and provides instant feedback without me having to tell her if she answered it correctly or not. My daughter usually doesn’t like doing regular workbooks but LOVES hot dots ones because of the interactive pen. This reading workbook is a great review for all the things she has learned this year in kindergarten and it will make sure she doesn’t go through a “summer slump.” It covers areas like beginning and ending sounds, reading, vowels, finishing sentences, punctuation and so much more! I really like at the end there are reward stickers because my kindergartner loves stickers! These are also great to travel with especially since it is spiral bounded so if we decide to take a trip this summer, I will take this with us to keep her occupied in the plane, car etc. I highly recommend for incoming kindergarteners or even for after kindergarten review during the summer.

Took her a little while to figure it out but my granddaughter does love this product. Still learning on how to use it.

My 5 year old loves using this and has gone back to it many times. It works great and the pen easily ready what my child is clicking on in the book. It’s very educational and is helping my child learn and retain the important information for this age range. It’s really helping her with her uppercase and lowercase letters. She had fun trying to get the pen to always light up green showing her that she’s getting the answers correct. My 3 year old uses this also and is slowly learning from getting the red light or wrong answers. Really great learning tool for kids!

This is a fun way to get your child interested in reading and math. I deducted stars because sometimes the Hot Dots have false positives for incorrect answers or false negatives for correct ones.

Creí que con el bolígrafo repetiría las palabras o las letras, pero sólo es para decir si la respuesta es correcta o incorrecta, eso me pasó por no leer bien las especificaciones. Es bueno y me gustó, es fácil de entender y vienen varias actividades. Lo recomiendo porque cumple con su propósito, pero lean bien, no les vaya a suceder como a mi.
