It fits great, with some growing room. The only issue i have is that my little one is 7 months old and the hat comes down way past her eyes, so I have to scoot it way back- it leaves a good bit of room on the top and will probably fit better as she gets older. However, it seems to fit well in circumference and i don't know if that will change as she gets bigger. It is SO wonderful, A great thick knit material, nice vibrant colors, and the poms are so cute but not in the way. It did take over a month to arrive (deduct 1 star).
