Nexus 10 Case, Snugg - Black Leather Smart Case Cover Google Nexus 10 Protective Flip Stand Cover with Auto Wake/Sleep

Shortly after getting my Nexus 10, I opted to buy a folio case to ensure maximum protection. I wanted a blend of style, functionality, comfort, and durability. While not perfect, I feel that the Snugg delivers. I currently own two cases; one white and one black.I purchased the white Snugg before a trip. I knew I'd be flying with my tablet, and then I'd be using it while spending a lot of time walking. Spoiler: it survived the trip and even a few drops. I bought a black case after returning home. After a 1.5 years of daily use, I'm still using my black Snugg. It has held up very well.Inserting my tablet for the first time was a bit of a challenge. The Snugg definitely lived up to its name. It's secure. Removing and reinserting becomes easier over time. It does add noticeable weight, and it feels bulky when compared to a naked Nexus 10. People who desire a 'naked' experience may prefer a slim sheath or the Google Cover. Once inside, the Snugg gives you easy access to all of the buttons and ports. I have never had a problem reaching them. And, unlike some cases, the edges of the screen are never obstructed. I can quickly swipe any menus or bars that rest on the very edge of all four sides of the screen.Propping the tablet on surface is a bit of a mixed bag. Instead of utilizing magnets, or indentations into which the flap could rest, you fold the screen cover behind the backing and rest it into a sort of kickstand. While it holds the tablet at optimal angles, with options of upright or nearly lying down, you're limited to these two positions. There are folds to add mild adjustments, but it's not enough to be a big difference. In all, I've rarely been in a situation where these two options weren't sufficient.Pros:+ Right out of the box, they look and feel great. With regular cleaning, my black case has maintained a sleek look. The dark color probably hides a lot.+ Durability seems to hold up. A year into daily use, my case isn't falling apart.+ The fabric on the inside is soft and attractive. I've never worried about it harming my screen.+ While I don't care to use it, the hand strap does make portrait use easier when standing or moving.+ I've actually dropped my tablet while in the case, usually from table height, but once or twice while standing. No dents, cracks, scratches, etc. It protects.+ My Nexus 10 has never felt excessively hot, compared to how warm it gets on its own, even after >1 hours of use.+ Wake/Sleep works every time. I've never had a problem with this feature. The magnets have never put it to sleep while in use.Cons:- After 2 months of daily use, my white case was noticeably soiled. Cleaning it proved difficult. I got the white case to serve as the 'dressy' case. A year later, it has lost a lot of its beauty. I recommend a darker color for anyone who puts their tablet through daily abuse.- The rigid material under the pleather is likely a thick cardboard material. Getting the case wet will warp it. Avoid direct contact with water. Be mindful of liquids on end tables or walking in rainy weather, for example.- Does add a bit of bulk and thickness to an otherwise thin (by 2012 standards) tablet.- Aforementioned bulk adds noticeable weight. Absolutely need thin and light? This may not be for you.- While folds in the flap technically allow for four viewing angles, it's really only two. They're optimal, but anyone desiring versatility will feel restricted.

After reading so many reviews (the good and bad) on all the different brand Nexus 10 cases available, I went with the Snugg Nexus 10 case and sure glad I did. The PU leather material (man-made) looks and feels like leather. That is a big plus. My Nexus10 tablet fits snuggly into the case and everything is accessible: connectors, controls, speakers, etc,, and with an automatic wake/sleep closure. You can flip the Nexus in any direction and the tablet will not fall out of the case since it is held in by a velcro flap on the closed inside flap. There are two stand angle positions plus a third if you count it when folded back and lying flat. When the flap is folded back flat behind the tablet, there is a strap that is handy to help hold the tablet. The inside flap is nicely constructed with a soft nubuck fibre. There is a small pen strap on the side of the headphones and charger that could get in the way with a pen in place but I don't use the pen strap so I just tucked it inside behind the tablet. You can't even see the small strap when tucked. The case is sturdy, well-constructed, it has a pleasing piping that borders the case and it is slim enough since there is a nice padded feel to the case but not bulky. I know my tablet is well protected and this case will last a long time. It was well worth spending a few more dollars since it is a sturdy, great looking case and very well designed. Snugg surely makes a fantastic PU leather case for the Nexus 10.

Purchased for my new Nexis 10. It fits and it's nice leather but thats about it. The case lower edge covers up the desk home contact area requiring me to pick up the edge of case to touch the contact area. The open and close / on off function works only about half time. The cover folds under instead of over which I find awkward. There is no latch for the top cover and since its hinged in the middle it makes the whole package look like it was run over. Snuggs should take a look at kindle cases or nook. If you want something that looks nice on your desk, this might be for you as long as you don't use it. (I initially rated it 2 stars)A few days after my I initial review, a service rep from Snugg contacted me directly regarding my concerns and feedback on their product. It's nice to know some companies care about their customers. They sent me a new one directly without having to go through Amazon's return program. The new one is significantly different than the original. The openings and clearance for all the sensors, speakers and connectors is different and correct. The case is nicely tailored, folds correctly and is handsome. I'm guessing my first one was an early design version and since there wasn't any interest in getting my first case back.I'm very satisfied with the Snugg case on my Nexis 10 now and changed my rating accordingly.

The Good:-Nice leather on the outside.-Soft padding on the inside.-Protects all the corners of the Nexus 10.-Magnet to wake up screen has never given me trouble.-Good openings for the charging ports, cameras.-Stylus holder, that tucks neatly behind the tablet if you don't use it.-Handle is pretty comfortable.-The stand is a good angle.The Bad:-The material behind the leather flap for the stand (something you cannot see) seems to become unglued with constant use. You can't see it, but you can feel it when you're placing the cover into the small flap on the back of the case. It would make more sense to keep the flap all leather than put that soft fibre interior on the inside of that.My mother bought the brown stand for her Nexus 10. I've owned two black stands for my tablets -- the first one being stolen in a house burglary. I made the effort to track down the same case because I liked it that much -- and without any prompting my mother found the brown case on her own and chose it without my influence. They are handsome looking cases and we get a lot of compliments on them when they are out in public.

The case fits the Nexus 10 perfectly with no essential openings like power, volume, otg cable or headphones covered. Top quality leather and finished to very high standards. When closed as in common with many other cases it puts the Nexus 10 to sleep, it has a small tab for a stylus if you use one. I found the elasticated strap for holding the Nexus, a little strange at first, when reading books, depending on your preference the way you like to view the Nexus 10 in double page or single page view, but that's the only real nitpick i could find with the Snugg Case. The Flip stand cover works fine and is very stable if you prefer to use the Nexus that way. Its a little on the expensive side compared to other cases, but you get what you pay for. All in all i would highly recommend this case.

Very comfy holding the tablet in this case. I love how the magnets wake the screen, when you open the case, and put it to sleep when the case is closed. The gaps for all the posts are in exactly the right place and the case seems well made. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the manufacturers have very sneakily suggested that it is made of real leather. It is not, however, it is made of PU plastic imitation leather. I think they should make it quite clear that this is imitation leather, especially at this price.

this was for my 84 year old aunt who has just started in the computer world with a nexus 10,the case really helps her as her hand is unsteady and she cant hold it herself,the only thing is that it cant be tilted in portrait mode. it has to stand straight up and dome of the downloads she reads are magazines that aremuhc easier in portrait mode.still she loves it and there is a pen holder for her stylus and its a real snugg! fit

My initial review was for the first case I received. I was then contacted by the seller who replaced the case. the second case cover was separated from the hard body which was also replaced. the case now seems fine, although I have only been using it for a few months now. Hopefully everything is OK and I'll not need to contact the seller again. The case for the Nexus is good with sleep feature that is great.

Product arrived on time and was well packaged, as all Amazon items tend to be. Fits the Nexus 10 perfectly and, yes it may way a bit more than lightweight plastic covers but you are never in doubt that you are going to get an accidental scratch or dent.The 'red' is also red and not as light as it may appear in the pictures. Not a striking red but distinctive.Well worth it to protect a great tablet
