HoMedics Homedics Non-Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer Accurate Body, Food, Liquid Temperature Readings

The older I get the lazier I get. This is my go to thermometer now. It provides a numerical value and emoji facial expression for my given temperature, very easy to read and self explanatory. It is easy, fast and efficient. If I want the second opinion then I use the under the tongue digital readout, the relegated version. This seems pretty accurate to operate. A great first option in the home, but doesn't hurt to have the standard mouth based version. Approved 🏆

All though pricy works perfect. I researched this type of devices. This particular brand HoMedics had excellent reviews. Very easy to use. Accurate and easy to read. I was impressed how fast this is. Comfortable in hand. Recommend.

All of these over the counter noncontac thermometers are off for some reason. They are consistent so worth having. easy to use.

I probably bought a half dozen thermometers over the years before I read a Wirecutter recommendation for this one and bought it. Except for one old-fashioned mercury thermometer that worked well but took forever to get a reading and wasn't comfortable to hold in the mouth, ALL of the others were reliably inaccurate. This is only thermometer I've ever owned that seems completely accurate, fast, and easy to use. Knowing what I now know, I'd never buy anything else. I store it with the batteries removed, because I've lost so many flashlights to leaks and corrosion and I don't want to lose this perfect thermometer.

I knew it wouldn’t be as accurate as a rectal or oral thermometer but I wanted to believe the minor difference would be worth it since it’s easy to use with kids. This is a danger to rely on. Last time my infant had a 101.5 fever this was reading 98.2. I tried many times over an hour and it never changed more than .2 degrees. I’m throwing this in the trash now.
