Great product, but BUYER BEWARE
**EDIT** Their customer support was extremely responsive and easy to work with. Asked me to provide a picture of the issue and agreed to send me a part ASAP. To my surprise within a week I not only received a replacement part, but they sent me an entire replacement unit. (No accessories or tips). Thats above and beyond what was required of them. Hopefully they can get some new iterations with metal colletts. Rest of the review stands along with the 5*, would recommend this product, and do business with this company in the future. Pros: Tips are nice, along with the stand and accessories. Battery is good at medium heat for 1hr+, and it works while plugged in. The stand is nice and well built. The pump worked great, and came with several replacement tips. Tons of extra sponges. Instructions were good, and there are plenty of instructional videos on this exact unit. The unit is light weight, ergonomic, and very comfortable on the hand. I used it for 2+ hours with little to no hand fatigue. Cons: As other reviews have pointed out the charging cable is only 1' long, easily fixed by just getting a longer cord (USBA-USBC is provided). No charging block is provided, easily remedied Here is the big one...the piece that hold the tips into the unit are plastic. it sits down in the shaft the tip goes through it into the unit, and when the cover is screwed down the wings on that plastic piece tighten down and grip the bit holding it securely in place. After about an hour of use I realized I was losing heat to my bit. That's when I noticed that the tips were sitting securely down into the unit. Unpon inspection I see that the cover that is supposed to tighten that when screwed on actually twisted and warped it. It still holds the bit, not if you turn it nose down it will eventually shake loose and you will lose heat. Happen to come at several critical spots in my project. I wanted to come bash them in that moment because I was both frustrated with my project and this tool. Instead I would like to say this is a fantastic product and I'm disappointed in this obvious oversight. I've contacted the company for a resolution, and hopefully they will correct this piece moving forward. If this product issue is fixed it's a 5* all day long would highly recommend anyone to buy it, great quality at a great cost (I purchased on sale for $49.99) EDIT: The company was extremely responsive, immediately sent me a replacement, and have acknowledged that they will look into this weak spot, and make changes if need be.

Amazing portable, modern soldering iron - perfect for microelectronics application
Excellent soldering iron kit - the activation button has LED indication for when it's warming up and when it's ready to go. The iron broadcast light that illuminates what you're working on seems to be motion or pressure activated, as when you haven't used it for a moment while it's on, it will turn off, then turn back on when you resume using it. The holding stand is a great design; swivel style with good weight at the base. The sponge bad is interesting, I wet the pad before use. The base has a compartment sleeve for the different tips tucked into the base that is press click-activated to lock/unlock. The tips can be interchanged easily by tightening/untightening the base of the iron tip holder. The temperature adjustment is via a turnable knob with good feedback and indicator labels. Charging is via USB-C with LED indication while it's charging and when it's 100% charged. No major complaints, works so perfectly for smaller applications that require more precision, such as MCUs, microelectronics, PCB soldering, etc. Excellent product!

My new Go-To
Just finished replacing the stick boxes on my Xbox controller using this soldering iron and it was amazing. The tips are the perfect size for things like this, it gets hot VERY quick, the stand is very nice, and the entire thing feels premium. The battery lasted through the repair, and the actual device is not heavy at all. The flashlight on the front is extremely useful. There are only a few odd things. The temperature on the dial is shown in Fahrenheit which threw me off at first. Not a big deal. It has an auto shutdown feature that is motion activated. I found when soldering multiple points in a row quickly I was not moving the iron enough to delay the sleep mode. It's easy to tell when it happens because the flashlight on the front turns off, and simply moving your hand a bit will turn it back on. The sleep mode should probably be 1 minute instead of 30 seconds. The iron fully turns off if not moved for 15 minutes, which is nice. I can fully recommend this!

Pretty good choice, overall.
TL;DR: Great choice for a hobbyist/DIY home repairman. This is a great, convenient, powerful little soldering iron. The battery life is excellent, especially for a hobbyist like me. The tip selection is really nice, everything seems to be high quality, and the selection of accessories is pretty good. If they'd made a few slightly different design choices it would easily be 5/5 stars every day of the week. The stand, while functional, is kind of oddly designed. It would've been nicer to be able to hold a larger sponge that will stay moist (lol) for longer. It also has a little removable pan that holds the sponge. IDK what that's about, unless it to allow you to fill it under the tap, but it's easy to lose if you keep the kit put away in a drawer or box. The tip storage, while clever, makes it a little bit fiddly to remove tips, especially if you have big hands like I do. Also, the choice of bespoke soldering tips rather than the standard ones is a little frustrating. They're kind of troublesome to install at times because you have to get them seated inside the little chuck under the collet. Also, when they wear out or get lost or bent you're locked into what you can get from Fanttik to replace them. Finally, it would be nice to have infinitely adjustable temperature, or at least a few more fixed temperature choices. It's pretty common to have a situation where one setting is too low while the next step up is overkill. More fine control over the temperature would be a huge benefit.

Best Soldering Iron
Bought this sort of on a whim, I have a cheap soldering iron at home and a pretty decent one at work. But I started working on some projects that require some small components (micro controllers, capacitors, pins, resistors, etc) and wanted something with smaller tips. The very first time I turned it on it heated up quickly and melted solder like butter. It's super easy to use and very freeing since it's cordless and easy to move around. I've used a couple different soldering irons through my life and this is hands down the best one I've ever used. I highly recommend it.

FUMBLE FINGERS
As a woman I'm new to soldering. I have a few diy projects to knock out and just kept fumbling around with corded solders at my disposal. They are big compared to my fem hands plus the cordage is annoying I was constantly worried one of my dogs would catch the cord right as i used the solderer. I turned to Amazon to see if there were and cordless solderers out there worth a flip and came across this one. Only down sided are I wish it came with the paste and a little bit of the soldering metal/ string (dunno what its called but the stuff you use to melt things together). This was a gift to myself and i sure am happy i got it. There are so many different ways it can be used so for me its a handy multi purpose tool. I can etch images on a piece of leather, canvas or wood. I like making moccasins and will be adding designs using this soldering tool. I received it in great time, packaging was professional and intact. No missing items or damage to the product. The black box was sealed in clear plastic so no doubt it was new. Putting it together was a cinch. However, i was not very forceful when putting the tips in because i have a habit of damaging delicate items and i saw this tool as delicate. Well I learned there is a certain amount of force needed to properly place the tip in the tool and about three clicks that sound as an indication its seated correctly. First time placing the tip i tried turning it on and it just wouldn't stay on. I thought it was faulty as i had expected but I WAS WRONG. LOL i didn't have the tip seated in the tool properly and thank goodness it doesn't heat the tip if its not seated properly. I have two dogs and if the tip was hot one or both of my dogs would have been burned by a tip falling on to the floor a couple times. I watched a couple videos and learned i was not forceful enough in pushing the tips in and i surely didn't hear any clicking happening. The videos helped, I re-seated the tip, heard a few clicks and couldn't pull the tip out after screwing the tip back in and the tool finally stayed on because i seated the tip the way it was supposed to be. After about 3 seconds like a dodo i touched the tip and holy cow, HOT! It wasn't ready yet but holy cow it gets hot fast. THIS IS NOT A TOY! SO BE CAREFUL ... the solderer works and melts as its supposed to. It also etches designs on canvas, leather and wooden frames. I've always dreaded soldering things until I tried the Fanttik T1 Max!! I wish I had more projects lined up just to have an excuse to use this tool. Quality Product, packaging and the Battery lasts. No issues with charging via USB C or with power for the duration of use. Best tool I've bought in several years. I recomend and would buy again...if i break it. LOL

Garbage Don't Buy
By far the worst soldering iron I've ever used, and I've been soldering for about 10 years now. Good for maybe kid projects when your first starting to learn how to solder, but beyond that it's garbage. I was really hyped to get it but after a couple weeks of using it i noticed it does not tin well, temps are garbage, and battery life SUCKS. The USB-C cable they give you is way too short in length to keep it on the stand while constantly charging, and that's terrible for a soldering iron that has little to no battery life and takes forever to charge. A couple times I have charged it all night just for it to not work the next morning, (apparently the soldering tip wasn't in all the way, but there was no indicator telling me that, in fact, the charging indicator was the only thing telling me anything, so it straight up lied that it was charging.) Got the soldering iron because a YouTuber advertised it. Last time I'm ever listening to a YouTube advertisement. Pain in the @ssss to keep tinned and the temperature being in F° really throws me off, especially when you're looking at melting points for solder that are ALWAYS in Celsius. It's literally just a neat looking desk ornament most of the time, and I usually have to pull out my other soldering iron that actually works because this thing never does the trick. also had to cover up the ugly @sss yellow fantik logo, that thing was just an eyesore, and I did that before I hated this soldering iron. Again it's a barely decent starter soldering iron, and if you actually wanna get anything done, save your money and look elsewhere.

Great for soldering smaller delicate items like circuits or small wires. Great for R/C hobby.
Heats very quickly. Not designed for heavy soldering due to smaller size of tips. Unsure of battery life yet but recharges fairly quickly. I tried several heat settings during tests so battery life hard to measure. Overall very handy for smaller, sensitive or delicate work. Seems well made and solid like other Fanttik products.

Fantastique !

Fanttik T1 Max Soldering Iron Kit
It is really awesome and I love using it. In comparison with my old, corded soldering iron I have noted this product is well researched and developed model. I want to highlight couple of advantages. 1. It has USB C charging battery is the technology of the day. 2. Having charged the battery holds heating power for sufficient time and does the job. Also, no corded wire hanging around the soldering gun being in use. 3. The various heating temperatures selection is really helpful for soldering, desoldering, etc. This is an essential requirement to control heat level as per demand. 4. The interchangeable soldering tips are added advantage to meet the requirement with better precision. 5. The auto sleep function of the soldering iron when not in use is really appreciated. This saves the battery a lot. 6. The aesthetic look of the base and the 360-degree swilling arm holder to hold the heated soldering iron firmly in place is really an innovative design. 7. the small provision at the base itself to hold the cleaning sponge is a well thought one. 8. The additional soldering tips tray holder at the bottom the base serves the very purpose when they are in need. No need to search here and there. I will recommend this product for every enthusiastic person; however expensive it may be.

Fenomenal calidad

Easy to use and quick to heat up
I don't really have any negatives to relay about the product. It's all good... and here's what I like about it. Cordless, so really easy to work with. You can continue to use the iron while plugged in using the USB C charging cable, so even if the battery runs out of juice, you don't have to wait for it to get recharged. The included metal stand is perfect for holding the soldering iron between use, and is well weighted and very stable to sit on the desktop. It's very quick to heat up, and setting the temperature is dead simple. It comes with a few different heating tips, and I'm using an angled needle tip version to do soldering on very small LED light strips. The built in rechargeable battery seems to last quite a long time. I certainly recommend this soldering iron kit.
