I bought a cheaper one and it convinced me to buy vivo brand. I could definitely tell the difference. This stand is sturdy and holds the weight of a 27 inch curved monitor which the other failed to do. It includes the hardware needed to put together and is easy to use. Great range of motion and fits on small desks easy.

Update 5/21/26: Eight years. Eight years and it FINALLY bit the dust. Noticed the arm was drooping again, went to fix it using the instructions I had provided before, but it still fell down. After paying my respects and saluting to this fallen solder, I immediately bought another. Update 1/27/26: After nearly EIGHT years of dutiful service, my Vivo arm has started to show some issues. Six months ago, I found the monitor resting against my desk and simply tightened the adjustment mechanism to it's highest setting, making it like new again. Today, I found it resting on my desk again and since it was already maxed out from the last repair, I knew it was done for... or so I thought! If you are running into issues with it keeping tension, here's what I did: 1. Set the tension to the LOWEST setting. Using a drill or electric screwdriver really helps here because there is a HUGE amount of adjustment. 2. Let the monitor physically droop as LOW as possible. This will fully compress the tension arm. 3. Lift the monitor arm as HIGH as possible. This will fully extend the tension arm. 4. Set the tension as needed. For me, I set it to the HIGHEST setting (extending the tension arm even further). I spent more time figuring out the process above than actually executing it. Needless to say, this monitor arm is STILL kicking! I'm sure it will drop again in a few months as the tension arm leaks pressure, but it's good to know that it's still going and I don't have to buy another one (yet)! Needless to say... super happy with this arm and I highly recommend Vivo to everybody I know! Original review from Mar 22, 2018: I purchased a Dell S2417DG from MicroCenter for the low price of $300 (24 inch 1440p 144hz monitor with G-Sync) because I desired a higher refresh rate while gaming. My Dell UltraSharp U2415 was less a year old by this point and had served me faithfully in that time. Not wanting to sell or giveaway a perfectly good monitor, I opted to mount it with this arm because I lacked the real estate on my desk. This arm comes with two sets of mounting equipment and all the necessary screws to put it together. One is the table clamp style mount, where it physically mounts to an edge of your desk. The other is the hole style mount where you would put it through a cable management hole on your desk. I went with the table clamp since my desk doesn't have any cable management holes. The arm is shipped in it's retracted state and is locked in place with a strong zip tie. On it, there is a warning label that the arm will expand once you remove the zip tie so you don't get hit. Noted this and saved my face from potential injury. I know with arms like these, the issue isn't the size, but the weight of the monitors. I made sure to weigh my monitors so that they were within the weight limits of this arm (14.3 pounds per the product info). I don't have a fancy scale, so I simply used my digital bathroom scale to weigh the monitor by itself. I also weighed myself with and without carrying the monitor just to be sure. Without the stand, both the U2415 and the S2417DG weigh exactly 8.4 pounds. The cable management grooves are a nice touch and help keep wires out of sight. If you plan on rotating the monitor screen between landscape and portrait, make sure to leave anywhere between 6 to 10 inches of slack between the monitor and the first set of cable management grooves. Otherwise, the cables may pull out of the monitor when you try to rotate it. All in all, this is an excellent mount. With the stock tension setting, the mount moves up and down with near zero effort. I do wish it was just a little bit taller so that I could do a dual vertical setup. Even with the S2417DG at the lowest setting and this arm at it's highest, it's still about 6 inches too short.

Overall this monitor arm is great. Easy to set up and install. I have a 27" 4k monitor on it and it works great. The monitor is easy to move and adjust. Sometimes the pivot points squeak when moving the monitor but it doesn't bother me too much. I can get rid of the squeak by loosening the corresponding screws but then the monitor doesn't stay in the position I adjust it to. The one thing that could be better is the cable management. While it does look great, getting the cables in the management channels is a bit of a hassle. I had 4 cables (power, display port, USB and 3.5mm audio) coming from my monitor and trying to get all 4 into the channel and get the screws in to hold everything in place was a bit difficult because of the position of the screws that hold the cable management pieces in place. But once everything is in place it looks great and I am able to move the monitor freely without having to worry about the cables getting in the way or restricting the movement.

In my initial setup, I sought to optimize my desktop space by utilizing an arm for my 30-inch 4K Asus display. This display, weighing 18 pounds, is manageable for the arm to hold it without any issues. When considering the arm’s placement, it is crucial to evaluate the proximity of your arm to the wall. If there is sufficient space on your desk to position the clamp centrally, this configuration offers the most comprehensive functionality. Conversely, if your desk is adjacent to the wall, you will require additional space to accommodate the clamp on your desk. In such cases, the clamp will need to be positioned to the left or right of the center, rendering certain features ineffective. 1. Potential challenges include cable routing and display movement. Cable routing necessitates ensuring that cables have adequate reach. Additionally, as you move the display towards you, the arm may not maintain its level, necessitating adjustments at each step. If the arm is positioned to the right of the center, it will begin to tilt to the right, and the same issue occurs on the left side. The arm’s design presents certain inconveniences. Tightening the arms to secure the display can hinder adjustments, as loosening them results in sagging. Furthermore, if the arm is only positioned vertically, it will maintain its level but begin to move to the right. Moving it back to the center requires repositioning it downward. The same principle applies when moving the arm downward, causing it to tilt to the left. To mitigate these issues, it is advisable to adjust the arm to its most frequently used position. In my setup, I installed speakers on both sides and centered mine at the appropriate height. Lastly, cable management is a critical aspect to consider. The arm itself was relatively straightforward to assemble, but concealing the cables proved to be the most challenging task. It is essential to plan the routing of cables through the arms. I utilized a power cable, two HDMI cables, and cables originating from both the right and left sides. Due to the arm’s placement, I had to procure a longer power cable.

I have purchased multiple VIVO stands throughout the years, and this is definitely my favorite so far for my main 27" Monitor. The instructions are clear, the setup was simple and easy, and the quality is great so far. The articulation is perfect for my daily needs. I switch my monitor position depending on whether I am working, or gaming, to fit my needs and ensure the monitor is at a comfortable viewing distance. The material feels heavy and quality, and it fits perfectly on my desk. This makes moving the monitor feel weightless as opposed to non-articulating VESA mounts. I definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking to adjust their monitor, especially if you have an adjustable desk.

Single mount - potentially good product but lacks quality control. Manual has starts with step 2 but there is no step 1. Graphic illustrations don't match wording. While painted components are of high quality, there is to much paint in the thread holes to allow screw to get started in thread holes in the part that forms the desk top . Manual is poorly written - the parts are numbered by there is no index of part numbers. The 309 area code phone line works but nobody answers the phone during business hours. The vendor sent a later version of the manual for this stand which details the parts but the offer to send a replacement is not what I planned. A product sold on Amazon should have all the bugs out the design and not rely on customers be the feedback for poor quality control. When paint fills up the space of female screw in the part, its waste of time for the customer.

So I'd had cable management at the end of my review but the advice felt more important than the actual review. Putting it up top: ROUTE THE CABLES BEFORE YOU INSTALL ANYTHING. The cable management is functional but inelegant, requiring you unscrew a plastic part, run the cables, screw back in. They have cable management as one of the last steps in the guide, but it will go SO MUCH FASTER if you route the cables before actually installing anything. To save yourself stress, run cables for everything your monitor supports even if you don't currently need it. If your monitor has USB ports for power, or a hub, buy USB extension cables (similar to a power extension cable) - lets you run the cabling cleanly and plug in elsewhere vs having to deal with running cables later. Ditto for display cables etc - just be proactive and run the highest speed / tier cables before installing for a clean look. Rest of the review: This was super easy to install. I went for the 'clamp' installation. One thing to note as I found limited info: my desk requires me to clamp the monitor to the SIDE of the desk. Can't put it on the rear of the desk due to the way it is constructed (kind of a small secretary style design). The arm works perfectly for my usage. It's super flexible and you can kind of see how well it contorts itself. Stability is fine. I keep mine in a mostly static position, only moving it to switch to my laptop for video calls. If I were throwing my monitor all over the place all day I would absolutely buy a premium version. This is GREAT for folks like me who need basic cable management and a pretty stable / standard position for their screen. For a short term work from home scenario like we are all facing right now I am super happy with the money. I'm combining this with a Pixio PX275h and the weight / size works fine. I think if this was a smaller monitor it may be more stable feeling as there is a good deal of give whenever I adjust it, but it stays in place which is all I care about.

This monitor is excellent for its price point. I ordered two and have been using them for the last month. Easy to assemble and easily supports my LG 27" screen which weighs roughly 6kg. The hinges are adjustable too and can loosen a bit to find optimal position of your monitor depending on your preference and then tighten to ensure it does not move from there. The only draw back is it was a bit awkward to tighten the main desk bolt to the desks I currently have and thus the clamp does pivot slightly when really trying to tighten the bolt excessively in the awkward position but so far it has held up well regardless and this has not proven to an issue at all.

Lasted about 5 months before failing on me, monitor tilted to the side, almost broke the screen and I got it working for another 2 days by tightening the screws to hell but 2 days later it fell over again. Don't buy cheap monitor arms. If you just need it temporary then I guess it would be fine but for the price you can do a lot better.

Loved the product. Its as per the description. Instillation is hassle free.
