This is a step up from the plastic clips I've used for most of my life. It seems very durable and holds my hair nicely. I would say that it might not be for someone with fine hair. It could slip through the hair easier since it's a bit heavier than the plastic clips. It's a very pretty claw clip and overall a great purchase for me!

There are multiple listings for these, which makes it near impossible to figure out what’s what. The measurements are hard to locate and pictures that make the clip look bigger in one listing but still has the same measurements as other listings. It’s all rather confusing and annoying. For this one, the first measurement listed reads that one of the measurements is 6 1/2 inches. I think that’s actually the cardboard the clip is attached to! These clips are about 3 inches, end to end across the longest part. From the center of the “arc” to the bottom is about an inch. These should work quite well—if you don’t have a lot of hair. If your goal is (like mine) to clip up thick, heavy hair, it’s just not large enough. I didn’t remove them from the packaging, so I can only say what I saw and could feel through the plastic. These are very sturdy, solid and well constructed. They’re not going to break easily and even with regular use I’d expect them to last several years.

I have very long and heavy hair and struggle to find clips that will be strong enough to hold it up. This was the answer! I was blown away at how strong this is and how well it holds my hair without falling. This thing is a savior! It’s not clunky and looks classy.

Edited to say the seller reached out and offered a full refund for my purchase which was much appreciated and great customer service which is why I’m ha he’s from 1 star to 2. Hopefully they will fix this design flaw because the clasp is really attractive to wear. Original review: Ordered first hair clip and wore it multiple times and the pin in the middle of it came out of one end which made it useless. Thought this might have been a fluke so ordered another one and after wearing it multiple times (8-10 maybe) the same thing happened to the second one. Clip looks nice and wears well but there seems to be a design flaw because the pin comes out of one end. I have medium thick hair so it should be no problem for it to work and last. Will not be ordering another one.

I’ve never used a metal clip before but I must say I can totally tell the difference between this and plastic! It’s on the heavier side but very solid, not cheap and won’t break easily and makes you feel like your hair is secure when you use it. Although I am a Kitsch fan, I don’t own any plastic clips from them so I can’t compare them from the same brand, all I know is I would absolutely buy more:)

This thing is durable. I have accidentally washed and dried it and the gold finish still hasn’t worn off. I work in healthcare so I actually clean it with alcohol and it still looks brand new. I dont know how they managed to get the finish this durable but I’m glad they did. This thing is going to last forever. It’s comfortable in my hair all day. I have fine, straight hair but it’s thick and it stays out. The metal is heavy but not too heavy. It’s high quality.
