This has quickly become one of our favorite games to play with family and friends. The rules are simple enough that everyone understands the game within a few minutes, but it's still challenging enough to keep everyone engaged. The best part is how it brings together people of different ages. We had everyone from kids to adults playing, and it was fun watching each generation recognize songs from their own era while being introduced to music they hadn't heard before. It sparked lots of laughter, friendly competition, and great conversations about favorite artists and memories connected to different songs. The QR codes and app make setup incredibly easy, and the game starts almost immediately. The cards are good quality, and with more than 300 songs, every round feels different. If you already have Spotify, everything works seamlessly. This is one of those games that people ask to play again as soon as it's over. It's compact enough to bring to parties or vacations, and it's a great choice for anyone who enjoys music, trivia, or just spending time with family and friends. Definitely one of the best party games we've purchased!

Let me start off by saying I never write reviews but this one has me wanting to wake up and play again. It was so much fun and so nostalgic for my group at our vacation. People of all ages can play. Definitely was a hit and our family members were ordering for themselves before they left. Such a great game!

My current favorite family game. It is shockingly easy to play. It takes roughly 3 min to explain rules of the game to newbies, and about 1 min to pick it up, which is SO NICE. With a little creativity, you could easily play as a group in the car. The earliest song we’ve heard was from 1920, and it takes you right up to around 2023. There are different genres, including country, pop, alternative, rock ' n ' roll, heavy metal, etc. The game seems more focused on what one might find on the “radio”, so don't expect musical theater or Disney-type songs. That said, there are a lot more cards than I was expecting. Beware that there are a few “R-rated” songs with cussing/sexual content. It happens infrequently, but once in a while, a song plays that could be offensive to some. But one can easily take those cards out. The game can be both nostalgic and offer opportunities to share memories of songs from one’s youth/teen years with your kids. Yet, it's updated enough that your kids can share their memories from more recent songs. It's definitely exposed me to new music artists, which has expanded my musical repertoire. We don't use the tokens, but once the person whose turn it is has made their guess, the rest of the players go through their guesses for the release year, artist, and song name, just for fun and bragging rights. It is a great value, really worth the money, and just a really fun game!

Hitster is a perfect game for music lovers. It’s been a hit with both family and friends, and everyone enjoys playing. You do need a Spotify account to play, which is important to know. The game is easy to set up and great for travel since it doesn’t take up much space. What I love most is that the whole point is guessing songs from all eras. It brings different age groups together, sparks conversations, and creates such a fun atmosphere. You end up playing great music, laughing, and talking about memories connected to the songs. It turns into more than just a game, it creates a really nice ambiance. Highly recommended!
