**Q: How long will one of these blades last on average if you use it an average of once or twice a week for small projects?**
A: Depends on the material. Copper and aluminum are soft metals. The blade is going to last a long time. Stainless steel and harden metals not as long. I use mine on all sorts of different materials and I get at least a year out of each blade.

**Q: Starrett green stripe vs Starrett red stripe blades?  What is the difference?**
A: I had no clue, so I googled it & this is what I found.

A: I've cut through steel with these blades.  As long as the metal on the hand guard is not thinner than 1/32", and the correct technique is used, there should be no problem.
