Meets requirements
Fantastic! Met competition requirements. Yes it will loose its paint. They all do. Get a paint pen.

Heavy ball useful for shotput
This shot put worked great for my daughter who would wanted to practice for elementary school track and field. It feels very heavy. Easily got scratched up but I think that's okay because it's just a weight!

Not meet worthy
It's under weight and looks like crap (Nothing like in the picture)! Fine for practice I guess but don't count on using it at a meet.

Great value for the quality
This has been great for my daughter who is a shot putter.

Not Cast Iron imo
It’s definitely 8lbs but it is not as shiny as the pics look, like a thick coating of special, shiny paint. It’s still nice and we’ll use it for practice.

as expected
My youngest daughter is trying her hand at shot put and this is has been great in teaching her. It is durable and the weight is perfect!

Underweight and useless for big track meets
It's a fine shot put for practice or local meets, but I bought this for my daughter to use at the Adidas Track Nationals this weekend. They won't allow anything under the required weight of 4kg. Since this shotput weighs in at 3981g it's useless for the upcoming competition. Don't expect accurate weights.
