Cowdog Chews Retriever roll 9-10 inch All Natural Rawhide Product (20 Pack)

I picked up the Cowdog Chews Retriever Rolls (9–10 inch, 20 pack) and they’ve been a huge hit in our house. My dog can be pretty picky with chews, but these kept him busy right away and held his attention much longer than most rawhides we’ve tried. The size is perfect for medium to larger dogs, and I really like that they’re thick and durable—they don’t disappear in five minutes like cheaper alternatives. They seem to be well-made and consistent in size, which is a big plus when you’re buying in bulk. Another thing I appreciate is that they don’t have a strong, unpleasant odor like some rawhide products. They feel like a cleaner, more natural option, and I’ve had no issues with digestion so far (always supervised, of course). For the price and quantity, this is a great value. If you’ve got a dog that loves to chew, these are definitely worth trying. I’ll be ordering again!

UPDATE dtd July 22, 2024 Prince got a new batch of these chews in today and boy was he excited! He wasn't out, but was chewing on the last bit of the last one. We love these chew sticks. Let me describe the differences in these chews & what we used to get from Walmart bc that was all that was available, but no complaints & no problems either. Walmart Labrador Chews, this is what Prince got all the time, never to run out. He loved them & could get thru one chew from anywhere between 1-3 days depending mostly on how often i needed to pick them up if i had an errand or whatever when i could not supervise him. But he could rip those things apart. Prince was not so fast to tear these chews up. Seems he was a little bewildered at first like what's wrong with these chew sticks. The difference is these chews sticks are really wrapped tight like a roll. They do not get all nasty looking & they don't shred like the others. He loves them & has gotten the hang of it. He'll chew a bit, set it down, take a nap, chew some more if he wants to. He takes his time & enjoys them & the process.. I guess bc he knows that these chews are so much better & they take a bit more work to tear them up, or many other reasons that he has not told me about. It sometimes feels odd to me, or i am just odd, bc i talk to him so much. He is the only dog now & he is truly the Prince, & so he gets most all of the attention, i do have cats too, but sometimes i just wish he would start talking to me. lol He loves to play with me when he has a chew stick. He will act all aggressive, but it's all for show & he likes for me to pull on that chew stick like a tug war or that i might get his chew stick. And he likes for me to throw his stick around nearby so he can bounce at it like a rabbit annd he does retrieve. All my dogs were taught to retrieve as basic training. It is amazing how entertaining our pets are , for us & for themselves. He's a real character, and I love him. He loves me too. FIRST POST dtd May 31, 2024 BEFORE Prince had finished his first chew: Prince my little dog gets this size all the time. This was the first time i have purchased from Amazon tho. I watched a video & the guy gave such a convincing presentation. He described the product very nicely & even had his dogs playing in the video too. I always check the ingredients on anything my dog eats & these ingredients are top notch. Enriching and enhanced to improve quality & taste. As i said this is the perfect size too & has a nice tone, color. Prince has not had any stomach problems, no digestion problems, no diarrhea. And he gets a wide variety of treats. We both love peanut butter & on apples, he likes oranges too. Carrots. Healthy stuff. Foods that are good for dogs. It is not all day long, but is enough to have spoiled him just as rotten as all my pets have always been. That is the way it is supposed to be. We are here for them. They are here for us. Prince is a rescue too. He found me as all the others have. A life of many heartaches, but a life of great love that never ends.

These rawhide rolls look clean, tightly wrapped, and consistent in size, with no odd odors or quality issues. They’re the classic dense style that usually lasts a while, and the construction is exactly what you’d expect from traditional rawhide. Unfortunately, my dog wasn’t very interested in them — he sniffed, sampled, and walked away, which is unusual for him but he does have pretty high standards when it comes to chews. The product itself seems fine; it just didn’t land with this particular picky chewer. A well‑made set of rawhide rolls, but your dog’s preferences will be the deciding factor.

The rawhide alternatives are useless for my Red Heeler/Staffie mix pup. He can eat them in a matter of minutes and they mess with his digestion. These rawhide rolls are perfect for him. Hanky LOVES them and I trust them more than what I can find in stores. He has no problem digesting them and they take him much longer to work through. He gets that glassy eyed bliss look when chewing one and they seem to satisfy his chewing needs. He doesn't chew anything else. The size is great, the hardness is perfect, and while I haven't tasted them, my Hank says they taste absolutely amazing. The smaller ones are great too, but don't last long enough for my guy. Definitely worth the purchase!

This is the best way to keep the dogs happy and occupied. There is no odor, and the dogs teeth are clean from gnawing on the rawhide chew. One bone seems to last 1-2 weeks, depending on the dogs mood and if they are going to gnaw on them for hours at a time or just as a "snack" and then go back to it later. These have been a huge hit with our Vizsla puppy and 10-year old boxer.

Have used and loved these for years, but the last order or two I’ve gotten, half of them are stringy? Like gluey and non-chewable. Is anyone else experiencing this?
