Not Intimadating After All ---- Great Customer Service.
When I took the air fryer oven out of the box and saw all the buttons and knobs, I knew I would never master the task of using the right buttons to prepare a meal. Less than a month later I have conquered the NuWave Brovo Air Fryer. This air fryer looks small but it backs a lot of cooking power. The instruction and recipe books make learning easy. The instructions are step by step and if you follow the directions it is easy to cook using presets to the probe. Then you adapt your favorite recipe with ease in pushing the right buttons. I have always used a cooking thermometer but using the probe produced a juicy turkey breast. I had another brand of air fryer oven for many years and was satisfied. This purchase I wanted a compact oven that would do it all. The grill pan produced a beautiful sear on lamb burgers -- I was not aware that an air fryer oven could do that but NuWave does. I use to consider myself a good home cook -- with my NuWave I am becoming a versatile and better all around cook. Making cleanup easier is the fact that most items can be placed in the dishwasher. The unit itself has a bright light and if you remember to give it a wipe after every other use you can keep the surface shining like new. NuWave air fryer oven was new to me but the name NuWave was not. About 15+ years ago I had an oven bowl made by NuWave with the fan motor on top. I used this practically every day. We moved and I had to downsize and the NuWave was still working when I gave it to a friend. When I saw this NuWave product I was confident in my purchase. I just did not know how much I would like all the buttons. Few issues with the produce. After using (almost daily) for 3 months I had a noise issue with my NuWave. The product was registered with a 5 year warranty so I contacted NuWave via email. A representative of NuWave returned my call within 2 hours and was extremely helpful. I had to email a video of the NuWave making the noise and within 24 hours the representative called and asked me to return my oven. The deal was she sent me a NuWave oven and following the directions used the packing from the shipment to return the one that was making noise. Bottom line, I received a brand new NuWave XL Pro that baked a perfect Easter dinner. I am one happy customer. I have a great oven that fits my needs, easy to use and clean from a company that stands behind their product, gives great customer service and my representative never talked down to me but treated me with respect.

Great Value for the Price
I bought this to replace an older model I'd received as a gift years ago. There are some upgrades in this model, (the previous one's air fryer basket was not integrated into a shelf like this one) and a few other things I'm sure I'll figure out as I get more familiar with it. I do love the multifunctionality. It's very convenient to be able to bake, air fry, sear, dehydrate, and make perfect cookies and pizza in one machine. It preheats quickly and evenly, and I like the feature that allows you to distribute the percentage of heat between the top and bottom heating elements (default is 50/50, but if you want the top to be browned, you can adjust it). Overall, it's a great machine, and I'm looking forward to exploring all the new things this model can do.

Easy to use, great results, and effortless cleanup!
I bought this oven and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. It's an excellent quality product, very durable, and best of all, incredibly easy to use right out of the box. I’ve been using it to cook chicken (whole thighs at 400°F) and the results are amazing: the meat turns out perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside, with a super crispy skin on the outside. It distributes heat very evenly. Plus, the glass door lets you monitor the food perfectly without having to constantly open it. One of its best features is the slide-out tray at the very bottom. You can easily pull it out like a drawer to clean it.** If you cover it with aluminum foil before cooking, cleanup becomes an absolute breeze because all the grease and crumbs drop right there. 100% recommended for daily use!

Nuwave Bravo XL Pro: The Countertop Oven That Actually Earns the Space It Takes
The Nuwave Bravo XL Pro is one of those countertop appliances that shows up claiming it can replace half your kitchen, and—annoyingly—it kind of pulls it off. Air fryer, toaster oven, grill, convection oven… it wears a lot of hats, and unlike most “do everything” gadgets, it doesn’t immediately trip over them. It’s big, unapologetically so, but that size translates directly into usefulness. Full trays fit. Actual meals fit. You’re not playing Tetris with chicken thighs or pretending a personal pizza counts as dinner. In real-world cooking, the Bravo XL Pro shines most in consistency and flexibility. The air fry mode does a genuinely solid job—crisp without drying things out—and the convection bake is predictable enough that you stop second-guessing it after a few runs. The grill function is more “indoor sear with ambition” than backyard replacement, but it adds versatility that actually gets used instead of ignored. Controls are straightforward, presets mostly make sense, and once you dial in your favorites, it becomes one of those appliances you reach for without thinking. It heats quickly, recovers well between cycles, and doesn’t feel like it’s guessing. That said, this is not a subtle appliance. It takes up counter space like it pays rent, and the fan noise under high heat is noticeable—not obnoxious, but present. There’s also a learning curve if you bounce between modes too casually; different functions behave differently, and the first few cooks may involve some light recalibration of expectations. Cleaning is manageable but not magical—drip trays and racks still need attention, especially if you lean hard on the grill setting. This is a “use it a lot, clean it regularly” relationship. Where the Bravo XL Pro really earns its keep is in replacing multiple appliances with one that’s actually competent. For families, busy kitchens, or anyone who wants speed and flexibility without firing up a full-size oven, it’s a workhorse. It won’t replace a dedicated grill or a pro-level convection oven, but it absolutely replaces the need for three or four mediocre countertop gadgets. Once it’s part of the routine, it’s hard to imagine the kitchen without it—and that’s usually the sign something got it right. Pros • Large capacity that fits real meals, not just snacks • Air fry and convection modes are consistent and effective • Versatile enough to replace multiple appliances • Heats quickly and recovers well between cycles • Controls and presets are mostly practical Cons • Takes up significant counter space • Fan noise is noticeable at higher settings • Grill function is good, not transformative • Cleaning requires regular attention • Slight learning curve across different modes

The Ideal All-In-One
This air fryer is powerful, functions well, and significantly cuts down on cook time. I really appreciate that it doesn't heat up the kitchen as when using the oven. Food cooks evenly, turning crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Apart from air frying food, the unit can dehydrate, toast, proof, broil, bake, reheat, roast, grill, and slow cook. This is my first smart oven & air fryer purchase. I intentionally waited, extensively searching and researching, to find one with a large capacity that heats quickly and offers many functions, particularly proofing and dehydrating. This unit has cut down on the amount of kitchen appliances needed, and I'm very grateful for that. It will also come in handy during the holidays when preparing and cooking several dishes at a time, especially the turkey. I highly recommend it and strongly suggest you purchase it. And don't forget to scan the QR code to get the five year warranty! Happy Cooking😊

UPDATED downgrade review - quality problem
Updated review after long, painful warranty support saga – recommend only with MAJOR reservations due to poor design, poor engineering, poor quality control, and/or some combination of these, plus poor shipping practices. Short version: After 2 RMAs, I am now on my 3rd new oven with the same problem. The interior light flickers noticeably when the oven has been on and heating for several minutes in any mode. The original unit purchased from Amazon did it. The 1st replacement unit (2nd oven) did it. And now, the 2nd replacement unit (3rd oven) does it, too. If such a flickering light does not bother you, then read no further. TL/DR version: After several phone calls and emails w/Nuwave support over several days, I eventually reached a CS representative who – to her credit – took ownership of the problem. After I submitted the requested information (including a cell phone video showing the flickering), she immediately authorized an RMA. Alas, the 1st replacement unit (2nd oven) arrived not only with the same problem, but also badly damaged during shipping. The shipper delivered the carton on its side and had torn a huge gash in the shipping carton and through the limited Styrofoam padding. I suspect the entire package had been dropped. The outer carton was not clearly labeled “FRAGILE” and “THIS SIDE UP” was not particularly obvious, either. So, in addition to the flickering light issue, this unit had an additional, more serious functional problem – the entire LED display flashed random numbers and XXXs when the oven was on. (The Nuwave agent graciously filed the shipper damage claim. So at least I did not have to do that, too.) This debacle generated ANOTHER repacking/drop-off trip to the shipper and a 2nd RMA replacement shipment containing a 3rd oven. It arrived grossly intact. But, to my chagrin, it has the same flickering interior light issue. Despite claims that this is not “normal” behavior, it does indeed seem to be a straightforward design, engineering, assembly and/or quality control problem with ALL of these ovens. The 1st occurrence might have been a fluke, and the 2nd, a coincidence. But 3 ovens ALL with the same problem is a defect somewhere. After far too many hours testing, filming, calling, documenting, emailing, repacking, and delivering to the shipper depot, I have had enough. I will reluctantly keep the oven, IF it otherwise performs properly, since it is covered by an extended warranty I bought through Amazon. I do appreciate the Nuwave CS agent’s responsiveness, perseverance and willingness to make things right. She far exceeded my expectations. This is NOT, however, a high-quality product. So, I would not buy it (or another Nuwave product) again. “Caveat emptor”. ------------------------------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: So far, so good. BUT two negative concerns for my overall positive review. Pros: I am new to air fryer cooking and have not yet had a chance to explore the oven's full capabilities. Thus far, all of the positive feedback re: cooking ability, cooking speed, and ease of use seem to apply. Cons: 1. As noted by other reviewers, the oven comes with a standard polarized 2-prong plug, rather than a proper, grounded 3-prong plug as one might expect for an 1800W appliance in this price point. (I am somewhat reassured that I have a properly grounded GFCI outlet.) 2. The "extended warranty" offer (card, sticker) mentioned by other reviewers was missing from my shipment. I contacted the company and they replied very promptly with a gracious response, directing me to a 3rd-party extended warranty company to "register". To make a long story short, when I researched this 3rd-party company, there were far more negatives than positives. First and foremost, the 3rd-party warranty "replaces" the manufacturer's warranty. All claims would need to be submitted to them, not to the manufacturer. Alas, several other red flags turned up on basic "due diligence" research. So, I opted NOT to register. "Caveat emptor" when it comes to the extended warranty offer -- this seems like a solid case of "if it sounds too good to be true....". Having said all that, this oven does seem (so far) to live up to its positive reputation. I will update this review when I have more hands-on experience with the oven itself.
