They really mean "anytime energy", LOVE this product!
I HIGHLY recommend this product. I began using Amino Energy when I was working in a high-paced sales environment, while also working as a personal trainer. As you can probably imagine, I needed all of the "boost" that I could get during the day to get me through all of those sales calls/interviews and still have energy for my workouts and clients after. Before using this, I had developed a nasty coffee/red bull/monster habit. I'm sure that I don't need to tell you how unhealthy this habit was. When I saw other trainers using this stuff, I decided to order some and give it a try.The thing that I love about this product, is that it can be customized to whatever kind of energy boost you need. You simply modify the dose. It is truly "anytime energy". 2 scoops will get you past that "2pm slump" while you're sitting at your desk job, 3 scoops will get you revved up for your workout, and 4-6 will turn you into a superhuman machine. I love that this doesn't give me any of the side effects that other "pre-workout" supplements give - such as jitters, sweating, rash, and prickling hands and feet. It's also MUCH healthier than energy drinks, and offers the added benefit of free form amino acids - which help in muscle repair, and allow for this to be used as a great post-workout (or if you're like me, DURING workout) drink as well. The caffeine is also from natural sources.Even though I now have a desk job, I still work out regularly and I still use this product religiously. Did I mention that it tastes great? My favorite flavors were the red and the purple, but I think that this new green apple flavor is the winner - it tastes awesome!Overall, an awesome product and I highly recommend it!

Overall the best
I will first off say that I absolutely love this product especially this new flavor they came out with. It is a nice change, and the flavor is pretty good. Doesn't taste like medicine and I don't have to gulp it down right away. I have always been a fan of amino energy. It was the first pre-workout that I tried when I first started working out. It is a great beginner type of pre-workout. It gives you a great kick and pushes you through a workout. Ill describe different areas to better explain this product.Performance:Like I said before, I love this product. I normally take the recommended dosage which is 2 scoops, and it helps me get through my workout. I normally weight lift for an hour and a half and perform cardio at the end of my workout. I take this thirty minutes before my workout and I feel wired throughout my workout. I think its the extra boost of amino acids, which is essential for muscle building.Looks:So over the passed years, they have changed their product looks. It is overall an okay looking product. I like the fact that it is smaller than the taller older looking version, which is a plus considering I like things portable and small. The scoop is a bigger portion than when I last bought it. But overall, looks are okay. Nothing too flashy, nice and simpleOverall:It is great. The product gives me energy. I don't feel jitters like with other products. It contains amino acids, so I don't have to add amino acids. You definitely can't beat the price. Most products average around 30-40, so by far this product beats most of the pre-workouts I have tried.

Niiiiiice.
Apple apple apple.Great flavor. Easy to mix. Fun color.I water mine down pretty heavily, throw some extra unflavored BCAAs and maybe a tiny bit if electrolytes and still get a good enough taste.Gives me solid energy to propel through my 6am workouts at the gym and to finish out my teaching day at 4pm.

Good non-tingly alternative to typical preworkout powders
Most of the figures in the science-based fitness community agree that the vast majority of ingredients in preworkout powders don't really do anything. Except for caffeine. This is essentially BCAAs + caffeine.Looking at typical preworkout ingredients:Caffeine - proven to have various benefitsCreatine - same as above, but usually supplemented separately.Citrulline malate - was initially promising, new research shows it doesn't do much of anything.Beta alanine - *could* help in really high rep sets, but should be taken daily like creatine, and at doses much higher than in any brand of preworkout (i.e. useless at typical PWO powder doses). The only reason you find this in PWOs is because of the "tingly skin" sensation before you build a tolerance.BCAA - there is no benefit to taking BCAA over taking a scoop of whey protein. Your typical whey protein already contains the same if not more BCAAs per serving. By the way, BCAAs has calories too, but are not counted on the nutritional label.Literally everything else - no supporting studies and/or useless. As for the product itself, I think it tastes good and mixes well. It has a decent amount of caffeine and is easy to control the amount with the small scoop. I don't think the BCAAs are useful since I have a whey shake before workout anyway. Basically, I think this is a good alternative if you want a preworkout powder that doesn't contain the useless ingredients and is essentially caffeine + BCAAs only. If you want a cheaper option, go to CVS and buy their 200mg caffeine pills for a fraction of the price.

Good amount of caffeine
Great taste, good caffeine boost. Mixes very good. Good amount if you do serving size with scoop. Easy to use, I would suggest also purchasing a small funnel for getting powder in water bottle. Dissolved good with a few shakes.

Great Product, Some Flavors Better Than Others
I’ve been using Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy for 3 years now, my wife for 1 year. I drink this during the second half of my workouts & bike rides. For workouts, I mix a serving (2 scoops) in a 16oz bottle of water. For bike rides, I add a serving to my 20oz water bottle. My wife mixes 1 serving in a 16oz bottle of water to drink after her runs. We both agree, ON Amino Energy helps us recover from our workouts. For the most part their flavors are all pretty good, some definitely better than others. My wife thinks the Green Apple flavor is “ok”. It’s not her favorite, but it’s drinkable. I’m not a big fan of this flavor. It’s a bit intense for my taste. It won’t keep us from buying it in the future, as we like to vary flavors. My wife really likes the Watermelon & I have to agree w/her. The Peach Lemonade is a favorite of mine, she thinks it’s “ok”. Her favorite flavor is Strawberry.
