BUT, the difference than your normal elastic waistband: I cannot find drawstring pajamas that don't have elastic SEWN INTO THEM. So, I have experience in trying to cut elastic out of clothes. These bloomers' elastic sits freely in the fabric, so one could get in there and cut the elastic all together - it's in my photos.I took a bunch of photos of how you can't see any bulge of thigh at the elastic, and the look of them short or pulled longer. I have muscle, but I wouldn’t call my thighs large. The elastic left indentations when I wore them overnight.These aren’t cut people-shaped with room for a backside, so the back seam was uncomfortable, too. I wouldn’t say I have a large backside either. Sir Mix-a-lot would probably not look at me twice.So I opened up the pocket where the elastic was cased and cut it. They are fine now. I don’t mind a little DIY adjustment at this price. They’re “poofy” enough to accommodate my backside without ballooning strangely in the front.I love the lace on them. It’s very robust.
