Fixed my WS2812 LED flicker
Picked these up while troubleshooting a WS2812 LED strip that was flickering when driven from an ESP32. The 3.3V data signal wasnโt quite enough for the strip, so I needed a proper 3.3V โ 5V logic level conversion. Used one of these SN74AHCT125 chips and the flicker disappeared immediately. Signal is clean now and the strip runs perfectly. If you're running addressable LEDs from an ESP32 or other 3.3V microcontroller, these work great as a simple level shifter. Exactly what I needed.

Bought these Bridgold SN74AHCT125N quad bus buffers expecting them to do the usual boring logic thing. Instead, they showed up ready to party. Clean 3-state outputs, solid DIP packaging that fits my breadboard like it was made for it, and they handle my slightly chaotic microcontroller buses without breaking a sweat (or smoking). Zero floating pins, zero attitude โ just reliable buffering that keeps everything nicely isolated when needed. I've already burned through half the pack on various projects and they're still going strong. Legit ICs
ICs look legit, laser etching did not rub off with acetone, and oscope graph looks good. Haven't been bait and switched yet.
