Coreskin Wetsuit Dive Hood 3mm Warm 4 Way Stretch, Flow Vent No Trapped Air Face Seal for Water Sports in Cold (L Size)

This is my first hood for SCUBA diving. I just spent a 8 days in Mexico diving in deep water at around 72 degrees. Not the kind of temperature I would normally worry about but on a previous trip my head was always could. I bought this purely as a comfort item, not a survival piece. I am very happy with it. I bought my hat size and if felt tight on my face when it arrived, but after I wore it in the water on the first dive, it felt very comfortable. And more importantly, it kept my head very warm. I can't see why I hadn't though of this sooner. I was a little skeptical about a the capabilities of a permeable spandex hood versus a neoprene one. My fears were unfounded. The hood offered great warmth and I'm sure it made my body more capable of dealing with the cold submersion. It clung to my head well and only flared once in a while when I cleared my mask with my face down. I guess the air exited the sides of my mask and entered the hood around my temples. No worries though. The 2 (??) small holes sewn in the top if the hood immediately dispensed the air and the hood was right back against my head. I highly recommend this to anyone that doesn't want a cold head underwater. One note though. I am tall and skinny with a long neck I guess. The tails of the hood weren't long enough to tuck into my wetsuit. But this didn't lessen the effectiveness of the hood at all. Oh, and I was worried about my mask sitting on top of the hood's face opening. Not a problem either. It fit right inside the edge of the opening.

Works as advertised, I'm new to diving and purchased 2 hoods for my daughter and I and they seem to work great keeping our heads warm diving down to 55 degrees.

Hood fits well. Seems to be well constructed. Going on some shark dives and wanted a hood versus a shiny head in the water. Feels as though it will hold its shape and not stretch out too much.

Seems awesome to me. Also easy to get off and on. Based on the table I picked the Large size and seems to fit perfectly.

Take the description down for this item or at least make sure you put the correct information first, not just words to get people to click on your item. This item effectively click-baited me into buying it and it was not what was expected. Forgive me for seeing the words dive hood and buying it without reading the entire description, but also shame on you for selling this as a DIVE HOOD that can not be used to DIVE IN.

I use this with a full 3mm wetsuit to ride my jetski in the middle of winter, keeps my head and ears warm
