Best guitar stand I've ever used!
I've used an acoustic stand for my electric since I got it free with my guitar in 1993, I'm not sure why they gave me an acoustic stand... Anyway. So I bought a bass last year and needed a stand, ended up getting one of these. It's so good I've finally replaced my electric's stand after 28 years. It looks a bit flimsy in the photos but it's actually extremely solid and the much lower centre of gravity compared to other stands makes it more stable still. They also pack down very quickly, my old stand was a bit of a pain. They're a bit more expensive than other stands, but absolutely worth it.

A great guitar stand
A quality stand, well made and very rigid and light weight.Folds flat for carrying. Wide footprint and very stable, even with basses.

Excellent piece of kit
This is my second one - the first I bought a few years ago - I needed one and that was all they had in the local shop.Roll on a few years and I've since bought different stands from different manufacturers...all of which have been disappointing in comparison, hence coming back to these. These are well (over) engineered - they feel good and weighty. (I have a K&M keyboard stand which is just as solid)Excellent as a single guitar stand in my studio.I'd probably feel okay gigging with one - depending on the venue.Would certainly purchase again.

Good stand, great value.
Excellent stand for gigs, folds down to a very compact size and seems sturdy enough.Good value too, shipping took a little while but worth the wait and I knew that in advance so I can't really complain about that.

A suberb and elegant design solution.
A suberb and elegant design solution. I've been using this stand recently and another earlier (but almost identical) variation since 1997. The earlier version just has a slightly different folding brace. Both designs work really well. They are compact when opened up and fold flat in 2 or 3 seconds for transporting around. I've had many different electric guitars on these stands and none of them has suffered damage due to scuffing (some cheap stands have all sorts of sharp edges which will seriously harm the finish of your guitar). My guitars are used regularly so are lifted on and off a lot.Mine are used at home only these days, though in the past they have been used at rehersals and gigs. I think they are classed as "studio" stands, probably because there is no support around the guitar neck so they may be prey to being knocked over by clumsy band members. They are surprisingly grippy however. Of course the pay off is that they are easily transported due to the fold flat design.Highly recommended.

Sturdy, Stable, Adjustable
Strong structure, protective rubber coating an all surfaces that your instrument touches. All surfaces that are supposed to be in contact with the floor actually touch the floor; in other words, zero wobble. The spread of the A-frame can be adjusted for different dimensions of instrument bodies, i.e. guitar or bass (electric for this model of stand). It's made in Germany, so it's no surprise that plenty of thought went into the making of this thing. 5 Stars.

Simple, Reliable, and Sturdy. Excellent.
I've been looking for a nice guitar stand for a while now. I had been using an old Ultra guitar stand with orange rubber base and handle that was far too cheap and old to hold a guitar worth 100 times it's value. The K & M Heli is so simple, it's silly that another company has not come up with a design this good. Every point that makes contact with the guitar is covered in a very sturdy and supportive rubber that protects the finish of your guitar as it sits. The stand forces the guitar to lean back at an angle so it won't tip over. It's very sturdy, and best of all, it folds up in about 1/2 of a second. I think this is the best electric guitar stand I have seen, and that's the only reason I would write a review for this in the first place. Most items I purchase are pretty good, but this stand is incredible in it's simplicity and build quality. Leave it to the Germans to develop a perfect guitar stand.
