DCI Robofan, Assorted Styles

Bought two at once, love them! They work great and my grandkids love them. I may buy two more to leave at my house for them to play with and the fan really works!

It is cute and I am putting this in my son's Easter basket this year. My son loves robots and I thought the design was cute and the price was reasonable for this item. It took me a second to figure out where the fan blades were because when you take the item out of the package there is a robot head cap that you have to take off before you can see the blades. If you look at the three pictures posted for this item the bottom picture with the item in the package shows a different head than the other two pics.....that is the cap and the other pics are of that cap having been removed. This item also came with a little cord that could be used like a lanyard but I could not find a suitable easy place to actually hook it up to and the instructions did not give me any ideas on this. There are two holes at the top of the cap but the ends of your lanyard are too big to fit and it was just not worth it enough for me to mess with just now. I also found that after installing the batteries and running it for the first time the air was blowing down towards the robot's body which seemed weird to me, but then I tried something I really didn't think was going to work and turned the batteries around, because nothing indicates which way the batteries were supposed to go, and I found that this made the fan actually spin the other direction and the air then was blowing the correct way. Overall for the price it was a very neat item for a robot enthusiast but I would have appreciated some better instructions about the direction of the batteries and an easier place for the lanyard to go. I am sure my son will love it anyway. Just in case you are curious since there are two available colors and you can't pick which one you get, I got the red version and I am fine with that.
